Manali to Leh
Even after you travel the whole world, this is going to be the trip on top of your list. The Leh-Manali roads open for a couple of months every year and it stretches for almost 500 kilometres. Though this distance won’t feel like any other distance you have every travelled. You will be scared yet spellbound. Even if you don’t appreciate nature much, you will fall in love with what you see here. With every pass that you cross, you will have a sense of accomplishment. The mighty Himalayas are your constant companion along this route. This route will take you through places you are never going to forget. Partly because of their beauty and partly because of how lonely and lifeless some of them feel. The journey from Manali starts with the lush greens but the landscapes take shades of brown as you proceed towards Leh.
Jaisalmer to Barmer
It is not only the mountain roads that are beautiful. Travelling on the long straight desert roads can be mesmerising too. Barmer is located on top of a hill and it makes a part of the Thar Desert. It has got various historical sites that are worth a visit. The road is pretty good for effortless cruising which is very rare in India. All around you is the barren desert land, some sand dunes and desert vegetation. As it is a desert area, the best time to visit would be after October till the end of March. Even when rest of the India is shivering, winters aren’t very extreme in this region.
Mumbai to Pune
This is one of the best roads you can find in India and the mountains add to the beauty. If it was just for the good high speed expressway, we would have suggested the Noida Agra Yamuna Expressway. It is also an excellent six lane expressway but this one is lot more than just good road. You get to drive on excellent roads passing through the beautiful landscape. You will encounter mountain tunnels, valleys and lush greens all along this road. It goes through the hills of Lonavala and Khandala. Both these places are excellent weekend getaway if you live in Mumbai or Pune.

Moreover the work is on-going to fix the issues so it will be in excellent condition again. When you move towards Jaipur, you notice how the geography and culture changes.
