5 must have accessories for car owners

Snapshot: We bring you a list of 5 accessories that are must for any car owner!

Until and unless you are buying a high-end luxury car, you will not be satisfied by the list of equipment your car offers. But then, there are certain accessories that are of utmost importance and are not offered by the OEMs as a standard fitment, even in the top-spec version. No, we are not talking about the touchscreen infotainment system, automatic ORVMs and rear view parking. We are talking about the accessories that offer more than comfort in your car.

Here's a list of 5 such accessories that are must for any car owner!

1. Pneumatic air pump

If you are driving a car, it is inevitable to stop your car's tyre from deflating, and it can be due to many reasons, including puncture. Most of the cars today come with the set of tubeless tyres, which means if your car suffers a puncture, you can still drive it to the nearest repair shop. All you need is a Pneumatic air pump which works well with any 12v electrical socket in your car. Just plug it, fill the air and you are good to go! Just don't forget to repair the puncture whenever you can.

2. Mobile holder

The ever increasing traffic, road diversions and road-trips while driving has forced us all to use navigation systems. If you use a smartphone, it can be a brilliant navigation system, along with playing your favorite music and talking to your near ones via handsfree controls. The issue though is, safety as your one hand is busy with the phone all the time. The best way is to get yourself a mobile holder where you can fix your phone and check the directions, or change the music track, without keeping your hand busy all the time.

3. 12v mobile charger

Like mentioned above, the use of mobile phone in our daily life has become more of a necessity than leisure and it's really hard to live without it. More the use, less the battery life! And so you need to keep a charger handy all the time to charge your phones at the time of emergency. The 12v power socket can be fitted with a car mobile charger and help you save at the time of distress.

4. Gear lock

While the remote entry system is adequate enough for the safety of your car, bigger cities like Delhi and Mumbai pose a different kind of threat to the cars. The thieves here are educated and know how to break the electronic lock. So how do you save the car? Well, the answer is an age-old trick of securing the car with a heavy lock like the one in a gear lock. A gear lock is used to lock the gear lever and can't ne opened or cut easily. You need to weld it or open the nuts from beneath the car to get past the lock.

5. Dash Cam

While many of us might not be knowing about this device, the Dash Cam is actually a necessity of today. As the name suggests, Dash Cam is actually a dashboard mounted video recording camera that records all the happenings outside the car. This little device can be used as a proof during accidents or other incidents. In many countries, Dash Cam is a mandatory safety feature.
