Snapshot: We have compiled a list of top 10 cars to look out for at the Auto Expo 2016.

The 2016 Auto Expo is just around the corner and it promises to be bigger and better this time. To be open for public from 5th February to 9th February, the Expo will see 80 new unveiling and more than 1500 exhibitors including car manufacturers, 2-wheeler manufacturers, commercial and heavy vehicle manufacturers, parts manufacturers and accessories manufacturer. We have compiled a list of top 10 cars to look out for at the Auto Expo 2016. Also, we will be extensively covering the whole Expo and updating you will all the launches on real time basis. So keep a tab on this space!

1. Audi A4

Audi will showcase the updated version of the hot selling A4. The new car will be lighter than the current model thus increasing its performance and efficiency. Design updates will include new LED headlamps and redesigned tail lights. Audi A4 will be aiming to downplay the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class and soon to be launched Jaguar XE.

2. Toyota Fortuner

One of the most successful SUVs in India is all set to gain a completely new avatar. The new Fortuner is already being launched in some of the South-East countries and gains a completely new design language, focused more towards sportier look than bulky design. Toyota Fortuner will take on the likes of new Ford Endeavour and soon to be launched Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.

3. Toyota Innova

Toyota Innova is the most successful MPV of the recent times, holding the flag high for the Japanese manufacturer for quite some time now. But the vehicle has started to show its age and it's about time Toyota replaces it with something new. And if the images from Indonesia are to be believed, the new Innova will sport a much sportier styling both outside and inside the cabin.

4. Maruti Suzuki Ignis

Maruti Suzuki Ignis was the highlight of Suzuki Motors at the Tokyo Motor Show and so it will be at the Delhi Auto Expo too. The urban SUV, or compact SUV, or hatchback SUV (it defines a new segment) will compete with the newly launched Mahindra KUV100. And it will come equipped with many advanced features.

5. Datsun Redi Go

Datsun's third model, the Redi Go will carry the same design lines of its siblings and will surely be a cost-effective model. With high levels of localised parts used in the Redi Go, Datsun will keep the maintenance costs and cycle part prices as low as possible. Redi Go will be placed below Go hatchback and compete against the Nano and Alto 800.

6. Ford Mustang

It's been long since every automobile enthusiast in the country is yearning for a proper American muscle car to set its foot in India. And it seems like the Ford will do the initiation by launching the popular and mean looking all-new Mustang in India. Expected to be priced at Rs 70 - 80 lakhs, the Mustang is expected to be launched in only one engine variant, although it comes with at least 3-4 engine option in other countries.

7. Honda BRV

With the growing demand of compact SUVs in India, every manufacturer is trying to launch their own version in this segment. Honda will join the bandwagon with the BRV compact SUV which we drove in Japan recently. Honda has high hopes from the BRV as it will be the first car in this segment from the Japanese giant and will also feature 7 seats, which is again a rare yet desired feature in this compact SUV market segment.

8. Jaguar XE

Jaguar is probably the only luxury car manufacturer across the globe that is seen as a viable alternative to German big 3. In bid to tackle the entry level luxury sedans like Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 3-Series and Audi A4, Jaguar has manufactured and all new product named XE. The Jaguar XE will be the most budget friendly offering from the British manufacturer ever and will house an all-new 2.0-litre Ingenium motor.

9. Maruti Vitara Brezza

Maruti Suzuki's model onslaught continues with yet another attractive model, Vitara Brezza. This compact and stylish SUV will come with trusted petrol and diesel engines already performing duties in other current models of the Suzuki line-up. It's been developed under CV Raman in India completely.

10. Tata Osprey/Nexon

Tata Motor's entry in the compact SUV segment will be marked by the Nexon to be showcased at the Auto Expo. It follows a youthful designed combined with powerful and efficient engines. Also, various reports indicate that the Tata will name the Nexon concept as Osprey SUV. All we can hope is that the product reflects the new age design language of Tata Motors.
