Becci Ellis, world’s fastest woman on motorcycle crashed during the World Wheelie Championship at Elvington. Becci was riding a turbo Hayabusa and set a top speed of 259mph before losing control off her Busa and crashing into the track field. The crash led to several injuries including broken ankle and bruised ribs. Even after crashing at such an extreme speed, Becci was lucky enough not to suffer any major injury.

Despite of crashing during the run, Becci managed to set the week’s high speed record and was declared winner beating Jack Frost who achieved a stop speed of 254mph during the run. Jack Frost was also riding a Turbo Hayabusa. Becci surprised everyone by returning the day after crash to collect her winner’s medal.

Becci told Visordown (a UK based publication), 'It's the only crash I've ever had. I've got no fear, it's in my blood and it's what I love to do. I crashed on Saturday but was back at the track on Sunday and nobody expected to see me, the paramedics couldn't believe it.... but I had to collect my winner's medal.'

'I could have beaten it at the weekend,' she added. 'The bike was set up for 270mph and we were just building up to it, on the Sunday I would have gone for it. 'I'm just really angry with myself that for one tiny split second I must have raised my head and the wind got under me. I'm really annoyed. Of course, I'm thankful that I'm fine - somebody must have been watching over me'.
