BMW Motorrad had Broken 2013 Sales Record, and it is only November!!
Snapshot: BMW Motorrad has already sold more motorcycle than it sold in entire 2013!!
Christmas it seems has arrived early at the BMW Motorrad office, as is the case each passing year has seen the Roundel brand increase itssales volume, usually with stiff competition from KTM for the title of the largest European motorcycle brand, by volume. This year has been no different.
Though with a few weeks still remaining in the year, BMW is already laying claim to a new yearly sales record, as its November sales have already put the Bavarian brand ahead of its level from 2013. Selling 115,215 units last year, BMW Motorrad already has 116,463 motorcycle sales to its name, in the first 11 months of the year. The news comes despite a modest November sales period, which saw BMW Motorrad sell 7,411 units worldwide (0.9% over last year).
As of November 2014, BMW Motorrad sales are up 9.0% over the same sales period from 2013. BMW’s continued new-model and model-refresh push is surely the cause of the continued sales growth, as the German motorcycle brand continues to expand into new market segments, while also keeping its existing models fresh and competitive.
Adding the water-cooled versions of the BMW R1200RT and BMW R1200GSA to the 2014 model year was likely a huge sales boom for BMW, while the BMW S1000R Streetfighter was only a modest performer on the showroom floor, though likely brought in a younger demographic for the brand.
With, the BMW Motorrad -TVS tie up in all probability launching its products in 2015, BMW is in for a way larger Volume number than it has previously even dreamt off.
