The German marque, BMW has been working on its small segment naked bike G310 R from quite some time. The bike is already launched in the European markets but is due to make its debut in India. The company has already started working on the adventure version of the same as 300 GS has been spied on camera for the very first time.
The spied small segment 300 GS looks very much inspired by the big bikes in the same vertical. It carries similar design as bigger bikes in the GS series and is based on the platform inspired from the naked BMW G310 R. We speculate it might even make way to the Indian market by early 2018 and will directly compete against the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
In terms of visuals, it carries a beak up-front as seen on the adventure bikes, chunky tyres for off-road needs, freshly designed fuel tank, new alloys, newly designed headlamp and high raised handlebar and suspensions as peradventure purpose of the motorcycle.
The bike utilize the same engine as seen on the BMW G310 R but can be tuned for higher torque on lower rpm as peradventure riding needs. It will be propelled by the same 313cc liquid-cooled, single cylinder engine producing 34bhp of maximum power 9500rpm and 27Nm of peak torque at 7500rpm. Stay tuned as Bikeportal updates you with the latest information regarding the same.
