Maruti Alto K10 emerges to be striking and sharp. The car is decently equipped and comes across as a really sharp and conventional looking car. Under the bonnet, Maruti Alto K10 is installed with 1.0-Litre K-Series petrol engine displacing 998cc. The engine has an arrangement of 3 cylinders with a total of 12 valves. The powertrain gives out maximum power output of 68PS at 6000rpm along with 90Nm torque at 3500rpm. There is also a CNG option available, where the engine delivers maximum power of 60PS at 6000rpm accompanied by 78Nm torque at 3500rpm. The variants are coupled with 5-speed manual transmission, while the top end trim has an option of four-speed automatic transmission.
In the Maruti Wagon R, you would find the same 1.0-Litre KB10 petrol engine that displaces 998cc. The engine abides by the Bharat Stage IV norms. The configuration of the engine here comprises of 3 cylinders and 12 valves. This arrangement makes it deliver a good power output of 68PS along with 90Nm of torque when in LPG mode. On the other hand, the petrol one gives out 62.5PS power at 6200rpm and 85Nm of torque at 3500rpm. The CNG version has the capacity to produce 59PS power and 77Nm torque. Maruti Alto K10 Vs Maruti Wagon R (Mileage & Safety)

The Maruti Wagon R and Alto K10 are perhaps the cars that lie at the opposite extremes in terms of the form. While both the cars have sold in large numbers and please different sets of audience. It is worth mentioning, that WagonR is boxy and marginally better than the AltoK10 in terms of space. While the Alto K10 has lost some of its charm with the latest update and does not look better that the version that it replaced.
The Alto K10 manages to impress with its fuel economy and its small size that makes it nice car to drive around in the city. The presence of automatic variant makes it the perfect city car that you can drive around without tiring.
