Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Vs Nissan Terrano (Design and Exteriors)
Maruti Suzuki S-Cross has got some distinctive exteriors. The car has been carved in a better way, but isn’t as stunning as it was expected. The lower ground clearance might turn out to be a grey point for the car. The façade has a similarity with SX4 sedan. The big projector headlamps are interesting with LED daytime running lights. The chrome slats on the radiator grille add a little bling to the front, along with fog lamps encircled by chrome lining. The side profile comes with ORVMS and door handles painted in body color, 16 inches alloy wheels, and sporty roof rails. The rear profile has stretched out tail lights with rear spoiler. The Suzuki Logo is in chrome and the black bumper with a silver accent does the trick well.
The exteriors of Nissan Terrano are distinct and very bold. The car looks big and bulky, but certain features do stand out with proud. The grille on the front has been showered with chrome finishing along with dual barrel square shaped headlamps. The masculine appearance of Terrano is highlighted in the side profile too. The car comes with bold wheel arches fitting in alloy wheels in the top end variant. On the other hand, the ORVMs are dipped in body color and are incorporated with turn blinkers. The roof rails are nice and sporty that provides an aggressive stance to the SUV. This stance is continued to the rear too. The tail lights are nice with chrome accents and the silver skid plates finish of the exteriors with style.
Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Vs Nissan Terrano (Interiors and Features)
The interiors of Maruti S-Cross are luxurious and very tastefully done. The black theme followed here is interesting and the dashboard with silver hints makes the feel much plusher. The leather wrapped 3-spoke steering wheel has been integrated with call and audio controls and the speedometer and tachometer are present with the illuminated display. The 2-Din infotainment system has a touch screen display with navigation system and four speakers plus two tweeters. The front cabin has enough space for the driver and front co-passenger, while the rear seat occupants also have a comfortable ride all throughout. The automatic air conditioning system in the top end variant of the car is thrilling. It takes merely seconds to cool down the entire car cabin and however, to our surprise the rear AC vents go missing along with 12V power socket for the rear occupants. The 353L of boot space is average.
The interiors of Nissan Terrano have a resemblance to that of Duster. However, the sophistication and elegance can be felt as soon as one steps inside. The premium upholstery and high class material used inside is one of the high points here. The ORVM adjustment button is also easy to use, but isn’t very comfortable as it is situated under the handbrake. The top end variant gets high class air conditioning along with rear AC vents and height adjustable driver’s seat. The sun visor with vanity mirrors, 12V power socket, and 2-Din music system with Bluetooth connectivity, height adjustable driver’s seat, and power steering wheel with power windows are in attendance to enhance the interiors.

Verdict
The Nissan Terrano is an impressive looking SUV that makes it mark when it comes to driveability and punchy engines on offer. The Terrano is a let down only in terms of the interiors that it offers, which are disappointing and no where near the S-Cross. The S-Cross is a great car which has superb interiors and features on offer, the lack of petrol engine is indeed felt but the car has impressive driving dynamics just like the Terrano. Go for the S-Cross if you like the looks of the car whic are indeed polarising. The Terrano on the other hand is an SUV and has no doubts about its identity. That said, both offer equal value for money.
