Compare Volkswagen Vento Vs Hyundai Verna

Snapshot: We compare the specifications of the Volkswagen Vento with the newly launched Hyundai Verna and find out the better car among the two.

To be on the top of the game, manufacturers are now updating their existing car models more frequently than ever before. According to Hyundai, passenger car market is expected to have a grow between 7-9% this year and they have just launched the new Verna. The all-new Verna now looks chicer than ever before. In the same class, car faces tough competition from the Vento and the class leader – Honda City. We do a specification comparison of the Verna and the Vento and find out which is the better pick.

Volkswagen Vento Vs Hyundai Verna (Design and Exteriors)

The Volkswagen Vento has only received a minor facelift so far and it does not make it look substantially different than the car it replaced. However, to the discerning eye, the changes would be apparent. There is a new bumper, fog-lamps at the front and a triple slat chrome grille. At the back, you will notice a chrome tipped exhaust and new taillight cluster. There is more chrome on the bumper and the tailgate which makes the car look more upmarket than before. Despite the changes, the new Vento still has an understated styling which was one of the main characteristics of the old car.

The Hyundai Verna definitely looks more stylish than the Vento, from whichever angle you look at it. Also since the car is now longer and wider, it offers more road presence. There are projector headlamps at the front and radically designed face that carries a similar hexagonal grille that we have become used to seeing. The rear now looks more cohesive and gives it a coupe-like stance.

Verdict

Hyundai has decided to simplify the options for its customers, and therefore, now you get only two engines instead of four. These two engines are also the most powerful in the segment and with the newer, lighter platform should perform even better in every area. Verna was always feature-rich, it's now even more so with the features like ventilated seats and sunroof etc. Therefore, it's the car that wins this specification comparison.
