Dhoni and his bikes

Snapshot: Apart from cricket, Dhoni is also known for his love for motorcycles. So what does Dhoni drive around when he is not hitting sixes? Well, you are just about to find that out!

M.S. Dhoni recently stepped down from the captaincy of the Indian Cricket team and made highlights because of this recent decision. Dhoni as we already know is one automobile fanatic better known for the collection of world class bikes than cars. He has everything in his garage starting from hyper-modern to vintage bikes. On the top, he is also known to clean them by himself and stay by his motorcycles when they get serviced, and that is one of the biggest hints how deeply Dhoni loves his bikes. The ex-Indian Cricket team captain also makes sure to take them on track days whenever he gets time. So that makes him a true biker at heart.  Scroll on to go through the entire list of Dhoni’s bikes!

Kawasaki Ninja H2

Dhoni became the first owner of the Kawasaki Ninja H2 in India when it was launched some time back. The bike as we know is one of the most hyper bikes present in the two-wheeler industry. It derives its power from a 998 cc 4 cylinder super-charged engine that delivers a staggering 200bhp @ 11000 rpm and peak torque at 134Nm @ 10500 rpm. Talking about the price, it is priced at Rs 33.30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Confederate X132 Hellcat

After the Kawasaki Ninja H2, the Hellcat is yet another hyper bike present in the Dhoni’s garage that signifies the diverse taste of motorcycles Dhoni has. Hellcat is one of the most costly motorcycles one can buy. It runs on a 2.2-litre V-Twin engine that churns out 132bhp of a maximum power and 200Nm of peak torque. Talking about its price, it retails in the US at a price tag of $60,000.00 USD, equivalent to Rs 36 lakh.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R

This is another Kawasaki in Dhoni’s list after the Ninja H2. The bike needs no introduction as it still gives nightmares to almost all of the bikes of its class when it comes to acceleration figures. It is powered by a 1441 cc, 4-cylinder engine that generates blistering 197.39 bhp of maximum power. The bike is capable of reaching more than 335 km/h. Talking about the price, it is priced at Rs 16.80 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Ducati 1098

This is the only Ducati in Dhoni’s list, and it is among his favorite bikes. As the name says, it is powered by a 1099 cc engine that makes about 160bhp of maximum power. It went on sale internationally in 2007-2008 and was priced in the bracket of Rs 25-30 for the Indian market. The bike was then succeeded by 1198, and its production was hence brought to a halt.

Harley-Davidson FatBoy

It is one of the bikes in the list that has been spotted numerous times in the Ranchi city with Dhoni on its saddle. Dhoni loves to drive around on the HD FatBoy, which he bought in the early times of his Cricket career. The bike has been priced at around Rs 17 lakh in the Indian market and is powered by a massive 1690cc V-Twin Harley engine.

Yamaha Thundercat

The Yamaha Thundercat is known for being one of the most famous sport tourer motorcycles of the gone era. Its production halted in 2007 and was manufactured for almost 11 years by the iconic Japanese motorcycle maker. The bike came with a 599cc engine that delivered 88bhp of the power at max.
