DSK-Hyosung is all ready for a Revamp of Existing Line-Up for India!

Yesterday we talked about how we find DSK Motowheels to be a company that has been the pivot point for the premium motorcycling market in the country, and how they have expanded DSK-Hyosung foot print in the National Capital by opening a new dealership at Kirti Nagar, New Delhi. Saying that, DSK-Hyosung needs to bring in some freshness in its portfolio since most of the line-up it has been in the country for some time now and Hyosung has only extended the lives of a few models after some minor facelifts.
Good news is coming as we are getting reports that Hyosung knows this and is getting ready to bring about a change in the same, as there are plans to launch a number of new products in the second half of 2015. Come EICMA this November, as per few news items online, Hyosung will be showcasing a whole new range of its motorcycles that will star in its portfolio in coming two years.
Expected to kick start the Hyosung's honour to the Indian markets acceptance to it, will be the naked single cylinder Hyosung GD250N about which we had done a news recently. Expected to launch as early as July-August this year, the naked will also spawn a fully faired variant in the form of the stunning GD250R, and according to the incredible amount of queries we get about the bike, we are sure that this will be a huge hit for the South Korean motorcycle manufacturer in India. However, pricing will be a key deciding factor for the success of the GD twins in the Indian market and we believe that DSK-Hyosung will be spot on this front owning to the fact that they have spent enough time in the country and that they now understand the market pretty well.
Also, the Indian production facility of DSK Motowheels will be up and running by mid 2016 and this will surely enable them to consolidate pricing of the entire Hyosung and Benelli line up for India as the production of most of the models from both DSK undertakings is expected to shift locally.
Furthermore, a 300cc cruiser is also expected to break cover sooner than later and it should upgrade the present GV250, expected to be a liquid cooled 30Ps and 25Nm power plant, this would be a welcome addition to the Hyosung line up in the country.
However, the most interesting bit is that Hyosung is said to be ready with all new 650cc models that will have new engines , chassis and design and should mean more powerful, more refined and more reliable new models to replace the current models like the GT650R, GT650N and Aquila Pro GV650.
