Tata Motors, having largest market share in Commercial vehicles (CV) segment in India, showed strong growth in Pick-up truck (50%), SCV (40%), ILCV (34%) & M&HCV (25%)[1]. Growth in CV market was fueled by acceptance of SCR Technology (Cost-effective and Fuel-efficient way to reduce emissions), Infrastructure developments and stricter regulations on overloading. Tata Ace in SCV, Tata Xenon in Pick-up truck and LPT 3718 in HCV have spearheaded the growth of Tata Commercial Vehicles during the recent festive season. Ace range has 4 different variants in their family namely Super Ace Mint with 70bhp, Ace Mega with 40BHP, Ace with 16BHP and Ace Zip with 12BHP and their XL variants (except Super Ace Mint) which provides extended cargo length for that extra voluminous payload. Showroom) for Super Ace Mint and Tata offers warranty of 2years/72000kms on all Ace range vehicles except Super Ace Mint which comes with 2Years/100000kms Warranty.

Tata Xenon

Tata launched Xenon Yodha, successor to its Xenon pickup, in January this year with stylish and rugged looks. Yodha is available in 4x4 & 4x2 variants with both Single and Double cabin options. Cabin is fitted with AC, tilt-able Power steering, glove box and lay down flat seats to rest during long hauls. Chrome grills on the front gives stylish looks to the truck.

A 3 Liter Tata 4SPCR TCIC engine powers this vehicle producing 85Bhp of power and 250 Nm of maximum torque. With this power and torque produced by engine, Xenon Yodha can easily carry a payload of 1250Kg and ascend 30% gradient. Load Guard prevents goods from hitting cabin during low load scenarios. Safety features like Crumple zone in the bonnet prevents cabin compression in case of head-on collision; antiroll bars provide better stability during full load, retractable seatbelts and a collapsible steering column will protect passengers during heavy impacts. Xenon Yodha prices starts at 6.05Lacs and comes with assured Warranty of 3 years or 3,00,000 km.

Tata LPT 3718

Tata LPT 3718 has various applications like carrying Agricultural products or Cement or Market or Construction materials Load, Mining & Tipping applications, Tankers of Bitumen or Chemical or Milk or POL or Edible Oil and Bulkers of Cement and Fly Ash. LPT 3718 is the only 5-axle truck in Indian CV industry offering both Pusher and Tag Axle options suiting different application requirements.

LPT 3718 which can carry a maximum payload 27405Kgs is powered by 6 Liter Cummins ISBe5.9 180 40 BSIV Common Rail Engine churning out 180 Bhp power. Maximum Torque of 700 Nm is delivered to fully floating rear axle shaft at 6.14 ratio to ensure high pulling power even while ascending 20% gradient. Drivability is compromised by 6 Speed TATA G950 Gearbox compared to Ashok Leyland 3718’s 9 Speed gearbox. 380mm Clutch plate is at par with AL 3718. LPT 3718 is equipped with 400 Liters Fuel tank, Hydraulic Power Steering, Parabolic Spring Front Suspension and Semi-elliptical Leaf Spring Rear Suspension for comfortable long hauls.
