This may sound stupid to some, but why not? Game of Thrones is probably the most watched and most talked TV series of our times. The popular American fantasy drama series is based on the series of novels by George R.R Martin and shows the evil dynastic conflict among the families residing in Westeros and Essos for the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms.
Our friends at CarThrottle decided to have a rather interesting take on the series by relating a few of the known characters with the cars matching their personalities. Here's the list of GoT characters and their matching cars!
Vehicle - Toyota GT86
The amount of attention Jon Snow grabbed before the start of the 6th season was way more than any other character in GoT. A part of the Night’s Watch, Jon Snow may have popularity on his side, but not much cash. Hence, a Toyota GT86 rear-wheel drive suits him the best - a budget car who knows how to handle well on the road. At least Snow is known for handling himself quite well!
Vehicle - Mercedes horse box lorry
Emilia Clarke is known or her cheerful and charming personality in the real life, but in the reel life, she is the Mother of Dragons. Yes, Daenerys Tangaryen lives in Exile with his husband Khal Drogo and is the heart of the fantasy TV show. She doesn't need much of a transportation for herself, but to carry her dragons, Mercedes horse box lorry is the perfect vehicle, we reckon!
Vehicle - Mercedes 600 Pullman
Cersei Lannister is a master politician, a protective mother and a ruthless character. Technically speaking, she is not the one who will ever sit in the front seat to drive the car, rather she would love to be driven in something as calculative and royal as she is. And the car matching her personality is the old dictator’s favorite, the Mercedes 600 Pullman.
Vehicle - Porsche 911 Cabriolet
Twin brother of Cersei and also the love of her life, Jaime Lannister is a bit of a poser and an attention seeker. Full of self confidence and pretty looks, he’d want all of the King’s Landings drivers to see him in his ride - a Porsche 911 Cabriolet. Being a master swordsmen, and having the misfortune of losing a hand, he’d probably drive the PDK dual-clutch automatic version.
Vehicle - Lotus Evora
He may not have the built and charm like his brother Jaime, but what he likes physically, he makes up for in mental acuity. Considered to be an underdog and hated by almost everyone, he needs a car equally underdog, yet a strong performer. Hence the Lotus Evora - a machine that has a lot of appeal and shines bright despite having stiff competition from cars like the Porsche Cayman.
Vehicle - BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe
Father of Cersei, Jaime and Tyron, Tywin Lannister was the wealthiest king in the seven kingdoms. Yes, 'was' as he was killed by his own son, Tyrion. Had he been alive, he would have chosen the BMW 6-series Gran Coupe, which looks and feels equally menacing as was the king Tywin Lannister himself.
Vehicle - Lamborghini Aventador
As if Lamborghini Aventador is not flashy enough, Joffrey Lannister would like to drive in a gold-plated Lamborghini Aventador. Yes, that's Joffrey Lanister for you, a flashy, murderous and royal version of Justin Bieber. If there were cars in Westeros, he would own the most striking and out-of-the-world looking car, the Raging Bull itself.
Vehicle - Abarth 595
Arya Stark is the youngest of the Stark daughters and you can't be fooled by her size and age. She may be small, but she’s ferocious and lethal, and can't stop stabbing anyone who crosses her with a sword named ‘needle’. To match her personality, we chose the Abarth 595, an equally small and equally ferocious car that may fool you from its cute looks.
Eddard 'Ned' Stark
Vehicle - Jaguar XJ
Nobody explains Eddard Stark better than the actor portraying him on screen, Sean Bean - "He's a good man trying to do his best in the middle of this corruption, he is a fish out of pond." Hence, for the Winterfell’s most honorable man, Ned Stark gets to drive a gentleman’s car - the supremely wafty Jaguar XJ.
Vehicle - Lamborghini LM002
No, The Mountain is not his real name! He goes by the name - Ser Gregor Clegane and due to his massive and unforgiving built, he is called The Mountain That Rides or The Mountain. Although, he gets a limited screen presence, such is his psychotic skull-crushing monster image that you can hardly forget him. And to match his aura is a perfect SUV - the Lamborghini LM002, from the 90's.
