Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India have launched the first BS6 motorcycle in India, Honda SP 125 at a starting price of Rs 72,900 (ex-showroom, PAN-India). The bike comes with 11 segment-first features, including engine killswitch, all-digital instrument cluster, LED headlamp, fuel-injected technology, CBS, split alloy wheels and more.
The SP 125 is launched in two variants - disc and drum. The standard model is priced at Rs 72,900 and the deluxe model is expected to be costlier by Rs 5,000. The Honda SP 125 color options include Imperial Red Metallic, Black, Athletic Blue Metallic, Geny Grey Metallic, and Pearl Siren Blue.
Mechanically, the Honda SP 125 comes with a 125cc four-stroke single-cylinder fuel-injected engine that generates 10.88 hp power and 10.9 Nm torque. The engine comes mated with a five-speed manual transmission. Mileage is expected to be 16% more than Honda CB Shine. The bike has a ground clearance of 160 mm.
