Motorcycling is more than mere commuting. Motorcycling gives the thrills and a joy of being in the open world connected to the elements that we are all made of. Choosing the right motorcycle is essential and it all boils down to your preference and riding style. The right choice of motorcycle would go a long way in your preference of riding and meeting people who are like-minded as you are and embark on journeys that would become memories of a lifetime. Here is what you should look to when buying a new motorcycle to suit your riding style.

Commuting and Occasional Highway Riding

The city bike is the one for you. With an ergonomic seating style and upright handlebars, the naked bike makes for a perfect commuting tool, and with the right engine size it can turn your daily commute into a fun and crazy ride, bordering on the boundaries of pure hooliganism. Beware though; caution must be exercised as those cops around the city wont appreciate your hooning skills. And out on the highways, the naked bike maintains its composure for short trips, but isn’t the most ideal for a long highway journey, unless you love fighting the windblast on your face. Also, the city is no safe place with people and other automobiles crawling in any direction they think is fair. ABS is a must have. Motorcyles onsale in India for this riding style:

Precision Riding

Firstly, if there is a racetrack in your city, then you are one lucky person. Use this opportunity to the best by picking up a fully faired set of wheels. And if a motorcycle is not your only mode of transport then you can use it occasionally while belting out some fast lap times and honing your skills on the racing asphalt. Not only that, but a weekend ride to the ghats can be incredibly good fun too. Unfortunately you would prefer to stay away from long flat highways unless you would like to sport a permanently bent spine and sore wrists

Adventurers and Trekkers

This is where things get tricky. As a person who like to trek and get to those unseen places unreachable by automobiles, you would be fascinated at what a dual-sport machine can do to your travel time. Cutting through the woods and splashing dirt, there is no other way of riding that can be as much fun. Just remember when you ride as the crow flies, its very important to have adequate riding gear, as the trees surrounding the trail you are not exactly soft. If you are one of those who sit at your desk job planning your next 25 day vacation, planning to get away from everything and everyone, the touring bike is just for you. With cushiony seats and softer suspension setup, a touring motorcycle would carry great amounts of luggage while maintaining an upright position. Still sharp on bends, the touring motorcycle is a decent handler when you show them some corners. Although do remember, in these long journeys, you would come across towns, villages, bad roads, bad traffic and unfortunate incidents, so ensure that you chose a motorcycle with the most safety features like ABS, Traction control etc.
