Snapshot: KTM starts exporting Duke 250 and RC 250 to other countries while the launch news of these motorcycle in Indian market is still awaited
KTM started their innings in India back in 2012 with the launch of Duke 200 and later 200 were accompanied by the higher siblings the Duke390 and RC390. According to Zauba.com KTM has already started with the exports of Duke 250 and RC250 to the countries like Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Austria, Turkey and Thailand from India.
Countries like Japan and Malaysia have a huge market for 250cc bike and brands like Honda and Kawasaki are already doing well there. Engine of these 250cc bikes are inspired from their higher 390 siblings. These bikes are powered by a 248.8cc engine that makes near 31.3bhp of power and 24 Nm of torque. The power these motorcycles are generating is significantly higher than their smaller 200cc siblings. While the launch of these bikes in Indian market is not confirmed yet but we hope that in near future KTM will replace present 200cc models with the 250cc ones. RC250 will go head to head against its Honda’s CBR250R and also the Kawasaki’s Ninja 300 if and when launched in India. Meanwhile Yamaha’s MT250 the naked version of R25 was spied testing for the first time that clearly indicates that the 250cc segment is getting fired up with the arrival of new 250cc motorcycles.
