KTM to introduce 800cc Adventure bike soon
Snapshot: The new bike will compete against the likes of the Triumph Tiger 800 range and Kawasaki Versys 650.
The iconic Austrian motorcycle maker, KTM, has just revealed that the company will be coming up with 800cc adventure motorcycle that will make into production in next few years. We know that the company is already working on a parallel-twin engine that will power the Duke 800 which will eventually replace the 690 Duke. Chance are the same engine will also power the KTM Adventure 800 which is the topic of discussion here. Stefan Pierer, CEO, KTM confirmed the same news in an interview given to the UK based MCN publication. Apart from this, no more information was revealed on the project as of now.
The new bike will compete against the likes of the Triumph Tiger 800 range and Kawasaki Versys 650. Interestingly, Adventure motorcycles are doing very well in India. Tiger range is among the most selling motorcycles for the UK based auto firm, on the other hand Kawasaki is going strong in terms Versys 650’s sale numbers. We hope KTM will bring the new 800 Adventure to India whenever it is launched. For more updated stay tuned to Bikeportal and you can leave your valuable comments in the section below.
