The MG Hector will be up against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV 500 and Jeep Compass. Speaking of the engine options, the Hector will be offered in two engine options, the 1.5-litre petrol and 2.0-litre diesel. For the update, the 2.0-litre diesel is the same FCA sourced engine which also powers the Harrier and Compass. MG Hector is also being offered with a 48-volt mild-hybrid option - a first in the segment which gives the Hector an edge over its closest rivals.
