Maruti Suzuki Swift & Dzire – 28.4 kmpl

Swift and Dzire are the most fuel efficient Maruti Suzuki for sale in the country. Both these models are the lined-up in the monthly best-selling cars chart as swell. Maruti has managed to return a fuel efficiency of 28.4 kmpl from Swift and Dzire. Packing these models with Maruti’s 1.3l DDiS diesel engine and company’s Heartect platform, making it more lighter that its predecessor and returning such an impressive mileage. Price for the diesel Swift starts from Rs 5.99 lakh, while the diesel Dzire gets a starting tag of Rs 6.56 lakh (Prices Ex Showroom, Delhi).

Maruti Ciaz (SHVS) - 28.09 kmpl

Ciaz comes with a mild hybrid SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) technology that helps in saving fuel and money at the same time. Maruti Ciaz is a convincing competition, compared to Honda City and Hyundai Verna, where it’s not about features and comfort only, but Maruti’s strong after-sales back up to its consumers says a lot for itself. The Ciaz SHVS variant starts with a price tag of Rs 9.50 lakh (Prices Ex Showroom, Delhi).

Maruti Baleno - 27.39 kpml

Maruti’s Baleno is the first product launched based on the Heartect platform that makes use of high-tensile steel, making the body lighter yet rigid. It locks horns with Hyundai Elite i20 and Honda Jazz, and boasts comfort, feature and how about the bold and grown appearance, something that cannot be ignored. It is powered by the same 1.3l DDiS engine that makes 74bhp of power with 190Nm of torque, that returns a good mileage of 27.39 kmpl.

Maruti Ignis - 26.8 kpml

This one is a quirky by the looks and peppy with its drive. Though, it seems small from the outside, but has a relatively spacious cabin. Packed with the same 1.3l diesel engine, it returns a fuel efficiency of 26.8 kmpl and when paired with an AMT, adds more charm to its drive. First touched the Indian shore, when it had to make its Indian debut at the Auto Expo 2016, which was enough to make the buzz in the market.

Maruti S-Cross – 25.1 kmpl

Maruti Suzuki a new segment of premium crossover with the S-Cross, and Maruti worked over this product to toughen its looks. Maruti offers only one engine in all of its four variants, sadly, the manufacturer discontinued the powerful 1.6l diesel engine was discontinued on account of low volumes. S-Cross comes with a slew of features automatic climate control, keyless entry with push start-stop button, cruise control, reverse parking camera, while for the safety, you get driver and front passenger airbags, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX child seat mounts as standard. The S-Cross Sigma Hybrid gets a price tag Rs 8.52 lakh (Prices Ex showroom, Delhi).

Maruti Alto 800 – 24.70 kmpl

This one here is the topper of the monthly best-selling car list for quite a long time.Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 is powered by a 800 cc petrol engine the that returns an impressive fuel efficiency of 24.70 kmpl. This mileage figure makes it a third most fuel-efficient entry-level hatchback in the country. With decent amount of cabin space, frugal engine and low maintenance cost, the Alto 800 is an affordable package in the mass market segment. Prices for the Alto 800 starts from Rs 2.51 lakh and goes upto Rs 3.82 lakh (Prices Ex showroom, Delhi).

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga (SHVS) – 24.52 kmpl

This urban MPV based on the Swift platform has been a game changer for the country’s largest car manufacturer since its launch in 2012 and also a popular fleet and family vehicle. Ertiga is offered with a range of engine options, be it petrol, CNG or diesel variants. In 2015, Maruti Suzuki also introduced a SHVS mild hybrid version. Prices for the SHVS variant starts from Rs 8.78 lakh and goes upto Rs 10.69 lakh(Prices Ex showroom, Delhi).

Maruti Vitara Brezza – 24.3 kmpl
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has been one of the growth drivers for the company’s UV market share that today stands at over 26 percent. With the competition (Ford EcoSport and Tata Nexon) getting stiffer, the Maruti Vitara Brezza is still running from last two years. The car now gets a new colour option along with safety features like dual airbags, ABS and EBD as standard across variants, the biggest surprise in that it now comes with an AMT, paired with a 1.3-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel motor.
