Snapshot: The Japanese manufacturer has ordered a recall in the US market on GSX-S1000F and GSX-S1000 that were manufactured in mid months of this year.
The faulty seal in the front brake piston cylinder has led to the recall of Suzuki GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F in the US market. Overtime the faulty seal could result in leakage of the brake fluid and damage the piston cylinder surface. According to the reports, the affected GSX-S1000 were manufactured between July 10 and August 24 this year while the affected semi-faired version of the same was manufactured between July 21 and July 27. It is yet to be known exactly how many units are effected by the recall.
There is a possibility that the affected units might have been shipped to India as well. The official response from Suzuki India is still awaited and we hope that the status on the same will be known soon. Both of the litre-class models were launched in May this year and shares the same 999cc 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine. The GSX-S1000F is priced at INR 12.7 Lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi) while the naked version of the same retails at INR 12.25 Lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi).
