The year 2019 has been an eventful year for the automobile industry. It witnessed one of the worst slowdowns in the auto industry. The reasons are many like the downturn in the economy and the uncertainty over BS-VI emission norms, to name a few. However, the year is ending on a positive note with the sales of almost all the brands picking up. Maybe, the year-end discounts are doing the trick. Nevertheless, it is providing ample room for cheer.

The year 2019 had its good moments, as well. It marked the entry of new auto manufacturers like Kia and MG Motors in the Indian auto market. The reputed manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai also came up with new launches of their own. It gives a lot of room to have a positive approach towards the New Year. The year is beginning with the 2020 Auto Expo at Noida from February 7 to 12, 2020. Though some of the top manufacturers are giving it a miss, one can expect others to move in and fill the gaps.

Here are the top 10 car launches to expect at the 2020 Auto Expo. A plethora of car launches is in store at the 2020 Auto Expo. The Auto Expo 2020 will concentrate on BSVI-compliant models and electric cars that have become the flavour of the day today.

Maruti Vitara Brezza Facelift

We shall begin with the market leader in India, Maruti Suzuki. After nearly four years of running on diesel, the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza will get a BS-VI compliant petrol engine. The engine will be the same 1.5L 4-cylinder mild-hybrid system that is present in the Ertiga. Maruti Suzuki is also likely to introduce the S-Cross with either a petrol or diesel motor. One can also expect a low-cost Jimny SUV from the Maruti stable at the Auto Expo. There is massive speculation that Maruti Suzuki might showcase an electric car concept at the Auto Expo, as well.

Hyundai Aura

Hyundai would like to retain its premier position as India’s foremost Smart Mobility Solutions Provider. As things stand, there is a possibility of Hyundai launching the sensuous sedan Hyundai Aura at the Auto Expo. Having revealed the design a couple of days ago, the formal launch of the sedan could be at the Auto Expo. Besides, Hyundai is also launching the facelifted versions of the Creta and the X-cent. A 7-seater MPV is in the works, and the Expo might witness a concept of the same. There are also possibilities of Hyundai releasing some of its existing models with BS-VI upgrades.
