Who doesn't love pushing their car to the maximum, once in a while, when you see an open stretch of road, asking to rev the engine as hard as possible. But, most of us can't match the speed of certain Sportscar, atleast not by our regular hatch or sedan. But then comes our list of Supercars, or Hypercars, which even normal Sportscar can't come close by.

So, here we are presenting top 10 fastest cars!

1. Hennessey Venom GT: 435 km/h
Many consider it to be the unofficial fastest car of the world, doing 0-100 kmph in 2.5 seconds, but what's achieved by Hennessey, can't be taken from it. This U.S based manufacturer produces car so fast, that to achieve the a top speed of 435 kmph, it requires an engine as huge as a 7.0 litre LS7 Turbocharged V8 Twin Turbo unit producing enormous 1244 hp. The test run, done at the NASA runaway produced a staggering result of 435 kmph, which was limited due to the length of the track, about 5 km. But all this comes at a whopping price of $1,000,000 and up.

2. Bugatti Veyron Super Sport: 431 km/h
Bugatti will always be remembered as the first car in the world to cross the 400kmph mark. But the dominance of the this Supersports was challenged by the SSC Ultimate Aero in 2007, which Bugatti eventually regained with their Veyron Super Sports, reaching a top speed of 431kmph. Bugatti remained the fastest car for three continuous years, before losing out to our No.1 in the list. Bugatti Super Sports, as against its younger sibling, produces 1200 hp and touches 0-100 kmph in 2.4 secs. The engine it houses under the hood is the famous aluminum made, 8 litre W16 unit and is priced at $2,400,000.

3. Koenigsegg Agera R: 418 km/h
Many say that if Agera R is to be pitted against the Bugatti Veyrona and Hennessey, it will beat them hands down. But the official speed recorded for this hypercar is 418kmph. It does 0-100 kmph in 2.9 secs and houses a 5.0 litre V8 engine with twin turbo’s, producing 1099 hp. This Sweden base manufacturer is the direct rival of Bugatti, priced at $1,600,000.

4. SSC Ultimate Aero: 413 km/h
SSC or Shelby Supercars, as is the original name, is the first car to challenge the dominance of Bugatti, when way back in 2007, they entered the Guinness World Records, to be the fastest production car ever, for three years. The SSC Ultimate Aero does 0-100 kmph in 2.7 secs and has a Twin-Turbo V8 Engine under the hood, that produces 1183 hp and comes at a base price of $654,400. Shelby SuperCars will continue their quest to reclaim the fastest car title, and their future SSC Tuatura might do the job.

5. Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo: 399 km/h
Saleen, a former race driver and businessman utilized all his experience to build a Supercar that can touch 0-100 in 2.8 secs. Housing a Twin Turbo All Aluminum V8 Engine under the hood, the car produces in excess of 750 hp, with a base price of $555,000. And to top it all, the car looks, really awesome.

6. Koenigsegg CCX: 394 km/h
Koenigsegg not only features one, but two cars in the list. While the earlier one was the fastest car from the house of this Swedish manufacturer, the CCX is the older sibling of the Agera R. Touching 0-100 kmph in less than 3.2 secs, the CCX is only behind five other cars when it comes to top speed. Under the hood, the CCX houses a 90 Degree V8 engine, producing 806 hp ad come at a base price of $545,568.

7. McLaren F1: 386 km/h
McLaren will go down the history books for redefining the sports car scene in the world. McLaren was the fastest car in the 20th century and had one of the most futuristic designs, with those bat wings. The modern day McLaren F1 does 0-100 kmph in 3.2 secs and is powered by a BMW S70/2 60 Degree V12 Engine that churns out 627 hp of power and comes at a base price of $970,000.

8. Zenvo ST1: 374 km/h
We bet that the Zenvo is the least known brand in our top 10 list. This Danish manufacturer introduced themselves in the market with the ST1 Supercar. Limited to only 15 units, this car does 0-100 kmph in 2.9 secs and houses a Twin-Charged 7.0 litre V8 engine, producing 1,104 hp of massive power. The car is priced at $1,225,000, and only showcases what Zenvo can produce in the future.

9. Pagani Huayra: 370 km/h
Huayra in Italian means 'God of wind' and so does Pagani decided to bring one on Earth. A lethal combination of gorgeous looks and powerful engine sourced from Mercedes AMG, this car is a masterpiece in itself. Priced at around $1,273,500, this car can do 0-100kmph in 3.0 secs. Thanks to a Twin TurboCharged 6.0 litre V12 engine that pumps out 720 hp.

10. Noble M600: 362 km/h
Heard about the brand Noble before? No, not the Noble awards, but the company? We bet if there had been any awards like Noble for the cars, this Noble M600 could have got one, all thanks to its inconspicuous design, that sports a slender and contoured body which does not scream out for attention at every second of the day. With a Twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine with 650 hp, it can do 0-100 kmph in 3.7 secs. And it comes at a base price is $330,000, making the Noble M600, a very cool car.
