Geneva Motorshow may not be the biggest and the best motorshow, but it is definitely the most important one. The cars showcased at the Geneva are not mere concept cars, but more oriented to launch in European and global markets. And this year's show promises to be even bigger and better. The Geneva Motorshow 2015 will start on 3rd March 2015 and here are top 10 cars from the show that might find their way to Indian shores.

Audi R8 facelift
Audi's flagship Sportscar, R8, is about to get all swanky and sharp in the latest version which is going to be start tomorrow. The new R8 gets new LED DRLs fixed over the LMX Laser head-lamps. The front fascia is also changed and comes with single piece grille and larger air-dampers. The new R8 also gets redesigned side profile and back profile. The engine is unchanged and is borrowed from the current generation R8.
BMW 1-series facelift
BMW 1-series is the most low-cost offering from the German luxury car-maker. But the current design didn't suite taste of much of the buyers. And now BMW is ready with the facelifted 1-series. The hatchback - SUV Crossover will be launched at the upcoming Geneva show. While the front fascia has been redesigned completely, the engine options are also enhanced. The car looks more conventional and futuristic now.
Bentley Continental and Flying Spur facelift
Bentley, the uber-luxury car manufacturer from Britain is also ready to showcase the updated Continenetal and Flying Spur cars. Apart from changes both inside and outside the car, Bentley claims that both the cars are more refined now in terms of fuel efficiency and power output. According to Bentley, mileage figures have been improved by almost 5%.
Ferrari 488 GTB
The Ferrari 458 Italia has been a successful venture for the Italian Supercar manufacturer. But the announcement to replace the car didn't go well with the Ferrari fans. But a 458 replacer ought to be good. And this is what the new 488 GTB promises. Ferrari claims that this is their fastest and quickest production ever, to a tune that it outruns the 458 Italia with 2.5 seconds around the famous and Ferrari owned Fiorano circuit.
Range Rover Evoque facelift
Range Rover Evoque has probably been the best looking SUV in the world. But Range Rover went a step ahead and decided to make it even more desirable by giving it a substantial facelift. The recently revealed Evoque will get an all-new and refreshed fascia. A mere glance on to the car can tell you how many changes has Range Rover put to enhance the looks of Evoque and so are the interiors refreshed. But the biggest change comes in the form of engine, which is actually the Jaguar XE derived Ingenium diesel motor.
What will you like to buy given that you have half-a-million euros? An ultra-luxury chauffeur driven saloon or a self-driven supercar? While there are gazillion supercars now-a-days, uber-luxury cars are limited to a few companies and this is where Mercedes-Maybach comes in. The German manufacturer will reveal the 6.5 metres long Pullman S600 at the Geneva show, targeted at state heads and big business owners. The limousine promises exclusivity and luxury with greatest legroom in a single car.
Rolls Royce Phantom Serenity
Rolls-Royce is known to make some of the most luxurious and expensive vehicles ever in the history of mankind. And one such vehicle is the Rolls-Royce Serenity. The one-off vehicle is manufactured by the Rolls Royce cars bespoke design team and reflects the "interpretations of European furniture combined with Japanese Royal Kimono designs to deliver a truly innovative, modern and tranquil Rolls-Royce interior". We are not clear if this car will ever make it to India, but given the amount of money Indians have, we might see it here someday.
Skoda, the Czech manufacturer is known for making not so flashy cars, but reliable and people's car. One such car is the premium sedan, Skoda Superb. Skoda will reveal the next-generation Supern sedan at the Geneva Motorshow and will rival Toyota Camry and Honda Accord. The new car is practical and spacious while it share many things from Volkswagen Passat. The exteriors are sharper and carries subtle changes while the interiors are more futuristic with all latest updates. There will be minor changes to the mechanics of the sedan too, including increased power and reduction in weight by 75kgs.
Ssangyong was never a known brand in India until Mahindra and Mahindra, the largest Utility vehicle manufacturer purchased the Korean brand and brought it to the local market. The first launch was the Rexton SUV, which was appreciated by everyone. And now Ssangyong is ready to launch the Tivoli crossover at the Geneva show. Ssangyong has borrowed the name from a small Italian town known for style and heritage. The compact SUV will be launched somewhere around Rs 10 Lakh price point and will compete against Ford Ecosport, Renault Duster and Hyundai iX25.
Volkswagen, the largest automobile manufacturer around the globe recently revealed the Touran MPV which will be launched at the upcoming Geneva show. Based on the Modular Transverse Matrix, the MPV will be offered in six engine options. The car will go on sale in September, this year in Europe, followed by the global debut by the end of 2015. When will it come to India, is still a question at large, though we are not sure it will be offered in India. But going by the rising demand of MPVs in the local market, VW could contemplate the option to launch the MPV.
