New Maruti Swift 2018
The all-new Maruti Swift 2018 is on the top of our list of the top 5 car launches during the Auto Expo 2018. Considering the unprecedented demand for the B segment hatchback, Maruti chose to launch it at the grandiose event. Embodying plethora of changes, the new Swift is a far cry from its predecessor, both on the outside as well inside.Based on the new underpinnings, it is more spacious, more frugal and gets new goodies, in addition to a new AMT gearbox. With all these changes, the new Swift gets a slight price bump and is currently available from Rs 4.99 lakh to Rs 8.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Hyundai Elite i20 Facelift
The Korean car giant, Hyundai launched the facelifted Elite i20 hatchback at the biennial event, priced at Rs 5.35 lakh (ex-showroom price). One of the prominent changes on the carline is the new petrol engine, which replaces the 1.4-litre petrol unit. Hyundai has also dropped the 4-speed torque converter from the model series. It now gets a 82bhp, 1.2-litre Kappa VTVT petrol and an 89bhp,1.4-litre, CRDi turbocharged unit. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual, an all-new CVT and a six-speed manual unit.
2018 BMW M5
The Bavarian carmaker, known for its luxurious offerings globally, launched the latest-generation (F90) M5 super sedan in India at Rs 1.43 crore (ex-showroom, India). A popular option in the super-luxury segment, the all new BMW M5 gets an updated version of the 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine which now offers 600bhp along with 750Nm of torque. The seven-speed dual-clutch has been ditched for a new eight-speed torque-converter.
Mercedes Maybach S650
The Stuttgart based auto giant, Mercedes-Benz, too launched its ultra-luxurious Maybach S650 in an all new avatar. Priced at a whopping Rs 1.94 crore (ex-showroom price), it receives design updates in tandem with the S-Class facelift. The plush cabin houses powered executive seats wrapped in premium Nappa leather, a Burnmester 3D surround sound system, etc. Power is sourced from the 621bhp, 6.0-litre biturbo V12 engine with a 7G-TRONIC gearbox.
2018 BMW 6 Series GT
Another launch from the BMW India’s stable is the new 6-Series GT, priced at Rs 58.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Currently available with a 285bhp, 2.0-litre, petrol unit, it will also receive a 190bhp, 2.0-litre and 265bhp, 3.0-litre diesel engines at a later stage. For transmitting power, it uses an eight-speed automatic gearbox, which will also be offered on the diesel units.
