As we are nearing the end of a very eventful 2014, we are bringing you some of the best and cool stuff from this year. While we are intensively covering India related articles, our new article is aimed to showcase some of the most viewed and awesome videos from around the globe related to cars. So here is our tribute to some of the epic videos on the internet in 2014.
1. Mini Parking Record
If you follow our news section regularly, you might have come across a report on a dual record set up by a Chinese of his Mini. One of these records was the World's tightest parking, which got its spot in Guinness World Records and made him a household name. The attempt was made to parallel park a Mini in the tiniest space possible, and Mr. Han Yue accomplished the feat with only 8 cm difference remaining between cars. The previous record held was with Alastair Moffatt, who managed to park the vehicle in a 8.6 cm gap between two vehicles. The record found a lot of viewership across the globe and was an instant hit on the YouTube.
2. Civic-R Commercial
The Civic-R commercial was one of the most innovative commercial in a long time, and it used technology like none other did in the past. The video uses out of the box idea to blend two stories together. There's a story of a regular father, simply going about his day and picking his daughter up from school. On the other hand, the same guy is in a Civic Type R Concept, doing something....watch the video to know the end! But how does it differ from the other TVC's, well you have to press 'R' key of your keyboard to know the alternate story. Honda didn't give the rights to embed the video to anyone, so you have to settle for the trailer here.
3. Stig F1 Bungee Jump
If it's Stig, it's going to be something funny yet extreme. The character from the famous TopGear UK series is known to push cars to their extreme, yet make people laugh. In this rather unusual stunt, he jumps off a platform using bungee cord attached to an F1 car, in which he is sitting! Sounds scary? Well, watch the video and relive the moment. The video is shot in a Lotus F1 car and shows Stig doing various stunts on a motorcycle, ATV and drifting on a track. The stunt was performed in the annual TopGear event held in a stadium.
4. Google Self-Drive Car
Google is often credited with being the pioneer of the self driven car concept. They have been working on this concept for many years now and finally has shown a fully functional prototype of the Google self-driven car. While the video may not be something unusual in terms of videography, it's something which is the future of mankind. And coming from Google means, it is going to be special. While many manufacturers are working on the concept of self-driven car, they are not doing it on a level Google has worked, a dream which will remove any manual driving from the automobiles.
5. Ken Block Gymkhana 7
