Honda Activa 3G
The Honda Activa has been the most popular scooter among the Indian commuter class. The Activa 3G gets hydraulic spring loaded suspension and 130 mm drum brakes on both the ends. It is powered by the tried and tested 110 cc Honda Eco Technology (HET) engine which churns out 8bhp of power along with a peak torque of 8.7Nm through a CVT transmission. The Honda Activa 3G is available in 5 different colour option - Blue, Grey, Black, Red and white Black. It rival against the other 110cc scooters like the TVS Jupiter, Hero Maestro, Mahindra Gusto and the TVS Wego. It is priced at Rs 49, 900 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Keeping in mind India’s male consumers, Jupiter was launched by the TVS Motor Company. Powering its motor is an 110 cc, single cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 8bhp of power at 7500rpm and 8 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The scooter’s fuel tank can carry 5.3 litres of fuel via an external fuel lid above the tail light. The 110cc scooter gets a pass switch- the first in the Indian scooter segment.TVS Jupiter is available in four colour options- Pristine White, midnight Black, Titanium Grey and Volcano Red. The scooter is available with a price tag of Rs 48,809 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Hero Maestro Edge
Described as a boy’s scooter, the Maestro Edge is marketed as a scooter for young male riders. This 111cc, single cylinder, air cooled engine can deliver a maximum power of 8bhp along with 8 Nm of peak torque via CVT transmission. The efficiency of 64 kmpl makes it one of the most fuel- efficient scooters in the market. It comes with a lot many features like USB charging, under seat storage lamp, engine immobilizer, twin parking lamps, external fuel lid and an integrated braking system. The Maestro Edge comes in seven paint options and two variants- the LX and VX. It is available at Company’s dealership with a price tag of Rs 49500 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Dio that has a young design is very dynamic and unisex in nature. It has been developed keeping in mind the young consumers of India .It is powered by a 109 cc, air cooled, single cylinder engine that churns out 8 bhp at 7000 rpm and 8.77 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. The scooter has a fuel efficiency of 60 kmpl. It has 18- litres of storage space under the seat and is equipped with zero- maintenance battery. The Dio is available in Jazzy blue metallic, sports red, candy palm green and black paint schemes along with a price tag of Rs 48264 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Alpha has got a modern design and for which it stands out from the current range of scooters sold in India. This Yamaha scooter is powered by an air-cooled, 4-stroke, 113 cc engine with CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission), It has a smooth acceleration with the fuel efficiency of 62 kmpl. It is available in eight colors – Rocking red, beaming blue, gleaming gold, magical grey, fiery red and radiant white. It comes with a price tag of Rs 49336(ex-showroom, Delhi).
