After a hectic working week, the only thing a biker dreams of is a perfect weekend ride which can balance all the life’s undulations and can work as therapy.  Luckily, Delhi is mapped at a central location which grants easy access to all the perfect places be it the snowy mountains of Himachal or desert trails of Rajasthan. All the places are located at an average of 400kms from Delhi which can easily be crossed in a single day. If you are planning a weekend ride, make sure that you start early on the Saturday morning so that you can reach your destination by the afternoon. It is also recommended that you do not ride in the dark (do not plan to start your trip late Friday night.) and only start by earliest possible in the Saturday morning. In this article, we will tell you about the best roads and destinations near Delhi you can explore on your motorcycle.

·         Nainital, Uttarakhand (310Kms)

It is a hill station situated in the lap of Uttarakhand. It is famous for its lake which is named after its name, the Nainital lake. It is situated in a valley containing the pear-shaped Nainital lake, which is almost 3 kilometers in circumference and is surrounded by mountains. It is around 310kms from Delhi city and will take 7 hours of bike journey. You can have some quality time doing  Rock Climbing, Wildlife Tours, Temple Visits, Cable Car Rides, Trekking, and much more. If you have never tried paragliding then Nainital is the hill station you must visit as it has one of the best mountain terrains for a sport like paragliding.   

Favorable route:  Delhi-Hapur-Moradabad-Nainital.

·         Rishikesh, Uttarakhand (250kms)

Like the above city, Rishikesh too is situated in Uttarakhand. It is famous for various reasons and has been given a couple of names including Yoga Capital of the World and Gateway to the Garhwal Himalayas. It is almost 25kms North of the Haridwar city and is 250 km from the Delhi city. It is most famous for its famous adventure and river rafting activities. It is also very close to the Dehradun city which has one of the best winding roads for bikers.

Favorable route:  Delhi-Meerut-Muzaffarnagar-Roorkee-Rishikesh.

·         Mussoorie, Uttarakhand (282kms)

Mussoorie is not very far from the Dehradun city and is just at a distance of 35kms. This 35 km stretch between Dehradun and Mussoorie has one of the best zig-zag mountain roads which are highly unpredictable and even scary for the most experienced riders. Mussoorie doesn’t have much of the adventure games in case you are looking forward to it but is a heaven for bikers who want to test their mettle in the lap one of the most brilliantly made mountain roads.

Favorable route: Delhi-Shamli-Saharanpur-Dehradun-Mussoorie.

·         Alwar, Rajasthan (166kms)

Alwar city is located in Rajasthan is a perfect getaway for the people planning a single day return ride. This city has a very deep historical significance which is still visible in the Rajputana forts which are a major tourist attraction in Alwar. The road extending from Bhiwadi till Alwar is also a very well made highway which lets one ride through deep sun dried terrain of Rajasthan. Places like Bhangarh fort and Sariska national park are also very close to Alwar city but you need at least one full day to explore the ancient corners of this city.

Favorable route: Delhi-Bhiwadi-Tijara-Alwar.

·         Pushkar, Rajasthan (410kms)

Pushkar is located deep in the royal state which is almost 414 km from the Delhi city and 145 km from Jaipur. It is highly famous among tourists because of its theological significance to the Hindu religion.  It is believed to have been formed by the tears of Lord Shiva which he is believed to have shed after the death of his wife, Sati. It has more than 400 temples including the only one temple in India dedicated to the Hindu God Lord Brahma, the Creator of the Universe. It is also hugely famous for Pushkar fair which is organized for a span of 5 days.

Favorable route: Delhi-Jaipur-Pushkar.
