Auto Expo is one of the events which make the petrol heads like us go nuts. It promises to bring hundreds of new unveils and launches that literally shakes the whole auto industry. In the report today we bring you names of the bikes which are expected to be launched at the upcoming AutoExpo 2018.
Bajaj Dominar 200
The Pune based bike maker launched the Dominar 400 some time back, and the bike received overall positive reviews for being well equipped with a bunch of features and for being a value for money proposition. Now the company is planning to launch a smaller version to cater a greater set of audience. You can expect a price tag of Rs 1 lakh for the same.
Bajaj Pulsar RS400
The Pulsar RS brand has been one of the most sought after bike brands in the country. The bike Pulsar RS 200 has been massively famous because of ‘out of the box’ looks while delivering utmost comfort and performance at the same time. The brand is now hoping to upgrade the things a bit by adding a bigger engine in the same bike and that will surely work wonders. You can expect the same to hit a price tag of around Rs 1.4 lakh.
The bike was showcased on the worldwide stage at last year’s EICMA and the Italian automaker is surely going to bring the bike to the Indian market soon. The Ducati Supersport will take on the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 and Suzuki Suzuki GSX-1000F. Expect the bike to be priced near Rs 13 lakh.
Honda CB Hornet 160F
The CB Hornet 160R became a hit when it was launched back in 2015. Now the company is planning to add another model to its grid that will sport a fairing to attract more buyers. It will compete directly against the Suzuki Gixxer SF. Expect a price tag of something around Rs 90,000.
Royal Enfield Continental GT 750
The Chennai based retro-modern bike maker is testing its biggest capacity motorcycle as we talk. We brought to you it’s first ever spy shots of the new parallel-twin 750cc engine and now the bike is expected to hit the streets by first-quarter of 2018. With this new bike, the company will foray into a middle-weight segment and will gamble at higher stakes than ever.
Royal Enfield Electra
Nothing else comes close when the immense popularity of Royal Enfield Electra is considered. The new Electra will replace the current generation bike that has not been updated for at least a decade now.
The biggest two-wheeler maker of the world has been spending quite a lot of time and resources on its research and development department. Hastur is the biggest capacity motorcycle Hero has even worked on and since the big bike market is booming like anything, Hero Hastur is all set spread its wings in the coming time. Expect it to be priced at nearly Rs 4.5 lakh.
It is one of the Hero bikes that have been showcased ‘n’ number of times and should’ve been already launched. But like you, we too have no idea what kept Hero from launching such a product when it was the right time. It looks great and promising, and also carries a decent engine at heart. Let’s hope 2018 brings it to us.
New Triumph Speed Triple
The new Speed Triple has already available worldwide but it is still awaited for us and the company will find the next Auto Expo to be the most suitable stage for launching such a hugely anticipated product. The new generation bike comes along with colossal updates that have taken it to a level ahead.
KTM 390 Adventure
The Austrian auto maker has been working on the 390 Duke based adventure from quite some time now and next year will bring a hope of its launch. The bike will compete against the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the upcoming BMW G 310 GS.
Hero Xtreme 200S
Hero Xtreme 200S was showcased at the last Auto Expo, like other Hero products, but was never launched. It comes as a more aggressive looking Xtreme than ever and also carries a bigger motor to retail in a higher segment. When launched, you can expect the same to be priced at around Rs 1 lakh.
Husqvarna Vitpilen 401
The Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 has been built on the same platform as the KTM 390 Duke, carrying the same engine and other underpinnings. It will compete against the same set of bikes as the 390 Duke but can be priced a bit on the higher side.
Suzuki Gixxer 250F
The Suzuki Gixxer 250F was revealed last year. There are chances that the company might launch the same in our market as demand for quarter-litre bikes is all-time high. The success of new KTM 250 Duke and Yamaha FZ25 is a proof of the same. But Gixxer 250F will compete in a higher segment and Yamaha YZF-R3 and KTM RC 390 will be the basic competitors for this bike.
BMW G 310 GS and BMW G 310R
BMW went into alliance with TVS for making an affordable yet premium bike for the masses. The BMW G 310R was a result of the same whose international shipments have already begun from India. But on the flip side, the launch of the same is still awaited here. The G 310R was already present at the earlier Auto Expo and now the adventure version of the same is also expected to be launched along with the G 310R itself.
