TVS Akula 310 spotted near Bangalore

TVS Motor Company blew everyone away at the AutoExpo 2016 by unveiling the radically designed Akula 310 concept and it sure was one of the most talked about unveils of the event. Now same has been caught getting tested in the suburbs of Bangalore city. The bike has been built around the BMW G301R platform which has also provided its engine to the Akula 310. Though the photograph doesn’t reveal much of the information but it is clear that the air scoops were replaced by the headlight assembly at the front which was obvious. Apart from that no other information can be solidly derived at the moment.
The bike will utilize the same engine as seen on the BMW G310R which is a 310cc single-cylinder, water-cooled unit. This engine produces 34bhp of power and 28Nm of torque, and comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The bike will be launched around mid-2017 and is expected to be priced near Rs 1.8 lakh. Stay tuned as we bring you more updates!
