UEFA Euro 2016 teams and their cars

Snapshot: France gets Bugatti and Romania gets Duster. Each team gets the cars from their own country.

The Euro Cup football tournament is the biggest inter-nation tournament in Europe and also serves as the qualifier for the World Cup. The 2016 Euro Cup is in its full swing and our friends at the Carwow decided to give it a bit of fun angle. Carwow has rendered ten cars that would be suitable for the participating teams. The cars chosen are based on the country of origin and are colored with the team jersey shade.

Here's the list of 10 countries and the cars that would suit them best!

Country - France

Vehicle - Bugatti Chiron

First up is the host of the Euro 2016 championship - France. The 2 times Euro Cup winner is matched with none other than the Bugatti Chiron. The hypercar is produced at the Bugatti’s factory in Molsheim and is best suited for the European powerhouse. The mighty Chiron has received a matching livery to the France's national flag along with a massive race car-like rear wing and custom white wheels.

Country - Germany

Vehicle - Mercedes-AMG GT R

Germany is probably the biggest and favorite team to play in the Euro Cup 2016. The World Cup 2014 winner is also the 3 times Euro Cup champion, most by any team. Representing Germany is the yet to be launched Mercedes-AMG GT R which was teased just a couple of days ago. Painted with colors matching Germany's flag, the GT R gets a body kit to symbolize team’s power and strength.

Country - England

Vehicle - Jaguar F-Type

England has never won the Euro Cup, but has a huge fan following, thanks to the EPL. Representing England in the Euro Cup 2016 will be the Jaguar F-Type Cabriolet in its range topping SVR trim. Jaguar has been the iconic representation of Britain and no wonder the championship car will be painted in white and red symbolizing its flag. And guess what, Wayne Rooney is driving a Jaguar F-Type.

Country - Russia

Vehicle - Lada Riva

Back in 1960, as the Soviet Union, Russia won the Euro championship, but it has been more than 50 years now. Nevertheless, representing Russia is the most humble car in this list - Russia's own Lada Riva. But it's nowhere near its standard version and is beefed up with a body kit comprising a massive front spoiler, fender flares, and a huge rear wing. And to make things more crazy is a big blower moto, giving Riva a much needed punch.

Country - Sweden

Vehicle - Koenigsegg One:1

Like England, Sweden never made it to the finals, but they have something to be proud of! Because if ever there is a world cup for cars, Sweden might easily win this battle. We are talking about the Koenigsegg One:1, the mega car from the Scandanavian country. We are not sure about football, but Sweden should meet France in this game. The blue colored, yellow-black striped One:1 looks absolutely stunning in this avatar.

Country - Spain

Vehicle - SEAT Leon Cupra 290

Spain and Germany are two most competitive teams in the Euro Cup 2016 and like Germany, Spain has also won 3 Euro Cup. For Spain, the weapon of choice will be the SEAT Leon Cupra 290, an agile hot-hatch with 290 hp on the tap. The high-performance hatchback is one of the most powerful front wheel drive car in the world and is wrapped red and yellow flag inspired shade.

Country - Italy

Vehicle - Ferrari LaFerrari Spider

The land of exotic cars, Italy is a 1 time Euro Cup champion. Representing Italy and giving them an edge of other teams will be the yet to be launched Ferrari LaFerrari Spider, an incredibly fast and F1 inspired hypercar. Driving the LaFerrari will be 38 years old Italy’s goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, who happens to be one of the most known faces in the Euro Cup 2016. With a massive structure of 6 feet 3 inches, he hardly let any ball pass through him.

Country - Czech Republic

Vehicle - Skoda VisionS Concept

Czech Republic, the one time Euro Cup champion is known as the land of Skoda. And so, the car best suited for the team is a rugged version of the Skoda VisionS concept. The VisionS Concept will soon be spawned to the production-ready Kodiaq and will feature an all-wheel drive system, super-spacious interior, and a sensible price tag. And with those massive wheels, it looks killer.

Country - Romania

Vehicle - Dacia Duster

Dacia Duster, or Renault Duster, as is called in India is the choice of vehicle for Romania. The team, although not that successful, will be looking forward to the SUV dressed appropriately in a blue, yellow, and red livery, the official flag of the Eastern European country. The Duster is digitally re-imagined with chunkier wheels, increased ground clearance and a set of auxiliary lights to give Romania the extra edge over its opponents.

Country - Northern Ireland

Vehicle - DeLorean DMC-12

Last but not the least is the small country of Northern Ireland. And while many may not consider them a competitor in the championship, their car is giving a second look. Northern Ireland will be represented by the DeLorean DMC-12. Can't recall the name? Well, the car was the star of the 'Back to the Future' trilogy and is assembled in Dunmurry, Belfast. Isn't it an obvious reason why our friends at Carwow picked Dr. Emmett "Doc" Brown’s ride.
