Kia is a 74 years old company which started in 1944 as Kyungsung Precision Industry. Originally it manufactured bicycle parts and steel tubing. Samchully was their first domestic bicycle which they rolled out in 1951. Kia got its name in 1952 and stated building licenced vehicles for Honda motorcycles and Mazda trucks. Along with these two, Stinger also gets a 2.2-litre CRDi ISG diesel engine that churns out 197 bhp of power with 440 Nm of torque. All these engines are mated to an 8-speed Automatic gearbox. Kia Soul EV is an electric vehicle and holds a rigid demand base internationally. India is sighting the greener alternative for petrol and diesel fuel and hence EVs will be the next big thing here. With the arrival of Kia Soul EV, a number of other electric vehicle is also scheduled including the Renault Kwid, Maruti Suzuki WagonR, Hyundai Kona, Toyota C-HR, etc.
