If u are someone who lives in and around the Delhi NCR region and calls oneself a keen driver and an enthusiast then you need to visit the Buddh International Circuit at least once in your lifetime.

Well actually even if u don’t live around the NCR region you have to visit the BIC the Buddh International Racetrack. As soon as you enter the circuit it will make your heart swell with pride. Few countries boast of state-of-the art race venues and fewer still can boast of one with world class technology.

Now the big question for many will be how can they do this and how much will it cost? Also, can one visit if there isn’t any event going on? Can one go there with their own car? If I don’t have a car can I just visit to see the place?

Wherever you are from and whenever you decide to go one thing is for sure that as soon as you enter the circuit it will make your heart swell with pride. Few countries boast of state-of-the art race venues and fewer still can boast of one with world class technology.

You will surprised to know that the BIC(as it is popularly known) has very flexible rates and fees structure. So if you are a student who is saving from his monthly pocket money, and want to visit the track, then all you need to shell out is Rs 2,200 per person(plus taxes). On such a tour you will get a full lap of the circuit, full tour of the pitlane and race control room along with a visit to the main grand stand. You can also visit the paddock club as well as the 41 pit garages. There is also a photo opportunity involved.

But that’s not all, if you have more cash to splurge and want to get the full track experience then simply book the BIC arrive and drive plan. All you need to do is get your own car or bike and the track is yours for a full 60 minutes. Once you sign the indemnity bond and get the full technical briefing from the BIC instructors you are good to use the track for the full hour. This can be a real fun exercise for your bunch of friends after the exams get over or simply a fun team bonding exercise after achieving your big targets in office. This ‘Drive and Arrive’ plan can also work wonderfully as a gift for someone special. Priced at Rs 20,000 per person per session(plus taxes), this plan gives you the opportunity to test your own driving skills and also ensure that you have an unforgettable day at India’s only F1 race track. After all, it’s not everyday that you get to drive on the same piece of road that F1 greats and multiple F1 champions like Fernando Alonso, Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton have also driven on. You will feel part of the history that has been created here over the years.

However, do ensure that you call up the track and know if it is free or not since there are many corporate events taking place on a regular basis there.

The best part about the “Arrive and Drive’ plan is that you get to enjoy the true potential of your car in a completely safe and hazard free environment and enjoy the driving experience at India’s only F1 racetrack. The BIC has the best safety equipment on offer, a proper medical facility and the best of technologies to keep you and your loved ones safe.

Event management

However, if the ‘need for speed’ isn’t your thing, even then the BIC is a place worth visiting. If you plan on hosting a gala corporate or personal event, or a big party for your loved ones even then the BIC is open for business.

Most people think that the BIC is only one large piece of road going around in circles. True, while most of the 5.14km tarmac surface is meant for racing only, there are plenty of areas around it that can be used for hospitality and event management.

For instance if you want to throw a large awards function, then you can use the Main grand stand and other stands around it. Organise a musical function or a themed party and you will be surprised how easily the BIC handles it.

Want something bigger? Then the Grand Plaza along with its sprawling landscape is the place to be. This area is so big it can easily manage an entire rock concert, a big exhibition or some other trade shows.

If you want something for an internal team training purpose, or something for a product launch then the media centre is the place to choose. The big media centre can easily accommodate upto 1,000 people without any fuss. Ideal for a team building exercise.

The Paddock hospitality halls are perfect for an offsite conference and cocktail evenings or even a fashion show. The best part about the BIC is the total peace of mind factor that it delivers you. Along with these facilities you get a medical centre which ensures the safety and well being of your loved ones. You also get full security all along with the help of trained personnel as well as over 250 hi-res cameras and a public address system too.

Incase you have a VIP guest to transport, the BIC also boasts of six helipads inside the facility, which means that your VIP guest will get leisurely and comfortable ride to and from the BIC.

All in all, the BIC is a great facility and each visit will hold dearly in your memory for sure.

To know more about the various facilities and for getting the best possible rates, head to BIC’s facebook page and also visit their website.
