Yamaha India discontinues a bunch of motorcycles to filter the current line-up

Yamaha has revamped the motorcycle line-up here in India, few days ago Yamaha launched YZF-R3 and recently, Yamaha India has taken a major step by discontinuing a bunch of motorcycles from their present Indian line-up. The discontinued motorcycles include the SS 125, SZ-RR, YBR 110, YBR 125 and the SZ-S. Not only this, all these motorcycles are even removed from Yamaha India’s official web page as well.
All the motorcycles that are now diminished from the line-up are already replaced by other more successful products from Yamaha. The company launched Saluto motorcycle and it has now replaced both YBR 125 and the SS 125 and is serving the customers in the range of 125cc motorcycle segment. Both of the YBR 125 and the SS 125 were old motorcycles and were not doing very well in terms of overall sales. Yamaha has also launched front disc variant of Saluto to compete more fiercely in this segment. While the segment above 125cc will be looked upon SZ-RR V2.0 which is still on sale and will be serving customers with the need of up to 150cc range.
The current fresh line-up of the company is comprised of motorcycle like Crux 106cc, Saluto 125cc, SZ-RR V2.0, FZ V1.0, FZ FI V2.0, FZ-S V1.0, FZ-S FI V2.0, Fazer 153cc, Fazer FI V2.0, YZF-R15 V2.0 and the newly launched YZF-R3. The big capacity motorcycles that the company is currently selling include FZ1, new generation YZF R1 and R1M as well as the VMAX power cruiser. Apart from motorcycles, Yamaha is doing a decent job in the scooter segment as well, as the new Fascino has come up to be the highest selling scooter from Yamaha even after being the top priced scooter in the line-up. The Yamaha India’s scooter line-up is comprised of includes the Ray, Ray Z, Alpha and Fascino scooter.
