Yamaha MT-25 spotted without camouflage for the first time
Snapshot: Yamaha MT-25 have been spotted and the Indonesian launch is expected to be near September this year
Last year Yamaha launched R25 in the Indonesian market; this was their first light-weight sports bike to compete against other brands like KTM, Kawasaki and Honda. R25 proved to be an extra-ordinary motorcycle as it was a perfect mix of beauty and performance. Recently an Indonesian website uploaded neat images of the completely undisguised Yamaha MT-25.
MT-25 is a naked version of the fully faired Yamaha R25, though Yamaha have brought some significant changes to the MT-25 to give it a fully naked street fighter look. Yamaha have changed the riding position to give the rider more up-right riding position, the handle-bars have been raised, the front fairing have been totally removed and a new headlamp is fixed to the front of MT-25, a new engine guard and a new radiator have been placed in the new street fighter. The MT-25 badge has been fixed just below the fuel tank and the blue colored frame gives the bike a totally different look. The MT-25 carries the same engine from R25 and it is capable of producing a healthy 36bhp of power at 12,000rpm and 22.9 Nm of torque from its parallel twin cylinder engine that is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
MT-25 is expected to hit the Indonesian markets by this September, while there is no clear indication for the launch of the same in the Indian market. According to the news from the various sources Yamaha may launch their 300cc monster the R3 here in India by the end of this year.
