Yamaha XJR1300 and MT-07 Moto Cage announced

Looks like the Intermot Autoshow in Cologne, Germany has started with a bang. The initiator being the Yamaha unveiling its custom inspired, cafe racer looking, XJR1300 and the naked bike, MT-07 MotoCage. The 2015 XJR1300 is inspired by a custom bike, made by the custom builder Keino called “Rhapsody in Blue” and Deus Ex Machina, who also had a significant influence in the development of the new XJR.
The XJR1300 is powered by a fuel-injected 1251cc Inline-4 engine, producing 96 HP power @ 8000 rpm and 108 Nm torque @ 6000 rpm. The Custom elements include a racing plate-style aluminum side covers with mesh inserts, tapered aluminum handlebars, compact headlight and the stitched seat. Both the XJR1300 and the Racer variant will be available in three color choices: Power Blue, Matt Gray and Midnight Black.
Yamaha as also unveiled a Racer version of the XJR1300, called XJR1300 Racer, which will incorporate a carbon fiber fairing, a short carbon front fender and clip-on handlebars to deliver a ’70s-inspired cafe racer look. It will also include an aluminum front fender stay and a carbon cover for the passenger seat. No mechanical changes will be done on the bike and engine though.
The other launch will be a Yamaha MT-07 Moto Cage, based on the successful Yamaha MT-07. The Yamaha MT family is already taking the world of motorcycling by storm. First, they launched the MT-09 triple, followed by the MT-07 twin, and more recently the MT-125 with the news of the new MT-25 making rounds. The MT series has a very bold and innovative style attached to the new standards of performance and affordibility.

The Moto Cage will be inspired by the Dark Side of Japan and will carry forward the aggressive naked styling if the MT series. The MT family is attracting a wide range of customers from diverse sectors of the biking world. In their debut year, Yamaha's MT models have totally rejunevated the motorcycle market by opening up a whole new direction and lifestyle for thrill-seeking riders who are looking for something different.
The Moto Cage will be powered by a 2 -Cylinder, liquid cooled, 4 stroke 689cc engine, producing 79PS power @ 9000rpm and a maximum torque of 68 Nm @ 6500 rpm and will come in a Matt Gray base color and new red graphics on the tank and tail unit. It will also include a number of red chassis components that highlights the bike's street-inspired looks. To complement its unique appeal, the bike will be fitted with a red front wheel combined with a black rear wheel featuring a red pinstripe.
Both the bikes will be Europe bound only in the month of December. We are waiting for more launches eagerly with the eyes set on Ninja H2 and Ducati Scrambler. Watch this space for more updates.
