The brand showcased the SR150 scooter at the Auto Expo 2016 and revealed its plans of launching it in the Indian market by mid-2016. When launched, the company was able to price it sensibly for the Indian market due to the reason that it’s made-in-India and is sold by Piaggio via its exclusive Motoplex dealerships spread all across India. SR150 is India’s first moto-scooter which offers sporty performance unlike any other scooter present in the Indian market. It clearly focuses on performance than comfort or practicality.

For 2018 the scooter is offered with a fresh paint Red/White/Green paint scheme as opposed to the dark livery present before. Rest of the visuals have been carried on from the previous model. Aprilia SR 125 BS6 What we think

Talking about the fuel consumption, the scooter returns an overall 43km/ltr of mileage. Which is however slightly less than what other scooters of the same segment are capable of delivering.
Aprilia SR 125 BS6 Engine & Transmission
The scooter packs 154.4cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled powertrain pushing out 10.4bhp at 7,000rpm and 11.5Nm at 5,500rpm that has been carried over from the Vespa range of scooters. On the other hand, the scooter comes with a CVT transmission for hassle-free city ride. The company claims a top speed of 95km/hr. The engine misses out on the fuel injection and is still a carburetted unit. The fuel tank on the scooter can hold up 7 litres of fuel when brimmed to the top.
Aprilia SR 125 BS6 Braking & Safety
The scooter is equipped with 14-inch black alloy wheels which not just adds to the sporty appeal of the scooter but also contributes in confidence inspiring handling. At the front, it carries a 220mm disc while a 140 mm disc takes care of the braking duties at the rear.
