Aprilia SR 125 Overview
Out of all the scooters present in the market today, Aprilia SR 125 is one of the sportiest and the most engaging scooters to ride. The SR 125 scooter by Aprilia makes use of the same 125cc mill as in the Vespa 125 that claims better efficiency. In terms of the overall styling & designing, the Aprilia SR 125 receives its inspiration from the standard version Aprilia SR 150. All the bodywork and the mechanicals of the new-generation Aprilia SR 125 is the same as that of its elder sibling SR 150 series.
Aprilia SR 125 Engine & Transmission
The Aprilia SR 125 receives its motor styling from the Vespa 125, however with slight differences. While the Vespa 125 is able to produce 10.06 HP of power & 10.6 Nm of peak torque, the Aprilia SR 125 scooter is able to make around 9.52 HP of power & a peak torque value of 9.8 Nm. The engine of the scooter is mated to the CVT transmission gearbox.
Aprilia SR 125 Braking & Safety
Unsurprisingly, the Aprilia SR 125 offers the same features to that of the SR 150 in terms of the braking & suspension duties. The chassis, suspension, and the brakes of the scooter remain that same to its sibling. The 14-inch wheels of the scooter offer unparalleled levels of stability and the Thai-sourced rubber offers excellent grip. Even the braking performance of the bike is excellent with a powerful front disc & easily modulated rear drum.
Aprilia SR 125 Competitors
The Aprilia SR 125 scooter competes against the likeness of the Honda Activa 125 & the recently launched Honda Grazia scooters in the given segment.
Aprilia SR 125 Mileage
With the engine displacement of 125 cc, the Aprilia SR 125 is expected to return an average mileage of around 37.88 kmpl. In terms of the styling, the Aprilia SR 125 remains identical to the elder sibling –the Aprilia SR 150. In addition to the slightly longer seat and the inclusion of new colors, there is not much to tell apart from the two models. Aprilia is trying to improve the seating comfort with respect to the pillion seat. There is not much difference between the 125 & the 150 scooter series with the main features including the sharp bodywork, basic digital dials, and the switchgear remaining the same on both the models.
Aprilia SR 125 Performance and Handling
Just like the SR 150 scooter series, the Aprilia SR 125 offer quicker off the lane features along with excellent handling. The scooter is able to deliver some outstanding driving confidence even in the tight corners. However, the ride quality remains the same to that of its sibling –the SR 150. The manufacturing company has yet not tuned the front forks of the scooter at all.
Aprilia SR 125 What we think
The Aprilia SR 125 is still an impressive scooter offering high-end riding comfort and amazing features to make it a worthwhile choice amongst the buyers.
