Bajaj Avenger 400
Bajaj Avenger 400 Overview
One of the most awaited Bajaj Avenger 400 is bound to get massive and efficient when it comes to performance and features. The upcoming Bajaj Avenger will receive a more massive engine than ever, which most likely is going to be the Dominar’s 373 cc engine. The prevailing Bajaj Dominar produces its power through a liquid-cooled, fuel injection engine which generates a max power of 34 bhp and 35 Nm of max torque. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The Avenger 400 will get a similar type of engine configuration, to say the least. If the Avenger 400 gets launched in a cruise variant, then probably it will be presented in Moon White and Autumn Black colours, whereas if it gets launched in the Street Variant, then chances are that it will be presented in Matt White and Matt Black colours.
Bajaj Avenger 400 Styling & Comfort
When we talk about styling, the Bajaj Avenger 400 will resemble a little bit like the Street 220. The speedometer can get shifted to the tank and will make ample space for a digital unit. According to the speculations, more features are also expected to get added to this digital display. The digital instrument cluster will likely be displaying all the crucial information in a digital format which includes speedometer, odometer, tachometer and trip meter, and an Engine Kill Switch. Further, a pillion backrest, electric start, windscreen (optional) and a passing beam will be there for better comfort on the wheels. It will be a surprise to see around headlamp fitted with the LEDs for better illumination on the roads and a much extravagant front look.
Bajaj Avenger 400 Performance and Handling
The handling of Bajaj Avenger 400 is going to be almost the same, measuring 2210 mm in length, 806 mm in width and 1142 mm in height along with a wheelbase of 1490 mm and decent 169 mm of ground clearance. The suspension assembly will also be expected to be the same as that of the current Avenger range featuring telescopic front forks and gas charged twin shock absorbers at the back side.
Bajaj Avenger 400 What we think
The Bajaj Avenger 400 will definitely prove its mettle by giving a tough competition to its competitors, despite its engine being derived from the Dominar. Moreover, its large service network and less maintenance charge will render it a strong entry in the cruiser segment.
Bajaj Avenger 400 Mileage
The Bajaj Avenger 400 mileage in city conditions is expected to be somewhere around 24 kmpl and 28 kmpl when it comes to highways according to the ARAI mileage certification.
Bajaj Avenger 400 Engine & Transmission
The upcoming Bajaj Avenger 400 is likely to get powered by the liquid-cooled Dominar’s 373 cc, the single-cylinder engine coupled with triple spark plugs and fuel injection. At present, the engine generates a peak power of 34 bhp and a max torque of 35 nm. Although the 6-speed gearbox transmission will stay as it is, we can expect a better power and peak torque at a much different rpm to exactly match its cruising characteristics.
Bajaj Avenger 400 Braking & Safety
The upcoming Bajaj Avenger 400 will get a dual-channelled ABS in terms of the safety measures. It will have disc brakes at both front and rear ends of the vehicle as usual.
Bajaj Avenger 400 Competitors
The Bajaj Avenger 400 will compete against the UN Renegade Commando, the upcoming Benelli Imperiale 400 and Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500.
