Bajaj Auto, the India's second largest motorcycle company has recorded successful sales record with its Pulsar series. The motorcycles have been manufactured by the product engineering division of Bajaj Auto in association with Tokyo R&D and motorcycle designer Glynn Kerr.The successive motorcycles in this Bajaj Pulsar series includes with engine capacities of 135 cc, 150 cc, 180 cc, 200 cc, and 220 cc. Bajaj Pulsar Engine & Transmission

There are many competitors racing in the premium bike segment in India. At the Auto Expo 2014, the home grown two-wheeler has showcased its Pulsar SS400, where SS stands for Super Sport. The 400cc monster houses a 4 stroke, liquid-cooled, 375cc engine with a 6 speed transmission. It is powered by an air-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 220cc DTS-i engine that generates 0.75bhp of power at 8500rpm and a peak torque of 19.12Nm at 7000rpm. While, the Pulsar 375 powered with Triple Spark, SOHC, 4-Valve mill with 375 cc displacement. The low end segment is completed ruled by the Pulsar 200 NS, Pulsar 180cc, Pulsar 180ns,150cc Dtsi and Pulsar 135.
