Benelli is one of the oldest Italian motorcycle manufacturers and carries a rich heritage in building world-class motorcycles for over hundred years. It was established in the year 1911 in Pesaro in Italy by Teresa Benelli, a widow and mother of six sons. The Benelli garage started off by repairing cars and motorcycles but soon got engaged in the production of spare parts. The first in-house engine was produced by the company in 1920 that was a single two-stroke 75cc model.  Today, Benelli bikes are famous all over the world for the thrilling ride that they offer and the power that they carry. The style changes in the motorcycle sector have been hugely influenced by Benelli motorcycles in recent years.From the convertible scooter to Tornado 900 Tre, and from the 491 to the 666 prototype, the company continues to manufacture power-packed bikes that are loves by motorcycle enthusiast around the world. 

In India Benelli entered into an agreement with the Pune based DSK Motowheels in the year 2014 to sell five superbikes. The delivery of these bikes will begin by March this year. The models to be available in the Indian market include a 300cc bike named TNT 300, two 600cc bikes: TNT 600i and TNT 600GT, an 899cc model named TNT 899 and a 1130 motorcycle by the name of TNT 1130. The 300cc and 600cc bikes will be offered as CKDs from China while the bigger 899cc and 1130cc bikes will be imported from Italy and will later be assembled at Benelli’s plant in Pune. These bikes will first be available in Delhi, Kolkatta, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad, followed by Chandigarh. The price range of the bikes will lie in the range of Rs. 3.5 lakh to Rs. 14 lakh. The strong brand value of the Benelli bikes coupled with affordable pricing will help the company in establishing a strong foothold in India.

The engine of the bike has a displacement of 600 cc that cranks out a power of 83.9 bhp at 11500 rpm and a torque of 54.6 Nm at 10500 rpm.
