Benelli TNT 25 Overview
Benelli, one of the oldest Italian motorcycle company, made its presence in India in March 2015 in a joint venture with the Pune-based DSK group. Since then it has introduced many of its superbike models here and continues to expand its portfolio to cater to a wider set of motorbike enthusiasts. The latest addition is the powerful250cc Benelli TNT 25. It has been launched in two variants - Benelli TNT 25 Standard and Benelli TNT 25 Premium. Benelli TNT 25 is an entry-level naked motorbike that is being brought in CKD units and will be assembled in Maharashtra. This move along with its single cylinder engine help keep the pricing low. This bike has been priced competitively and costs between 1.7lakhs to 1.8lakhs. It stands as the most affordable motorbike from the companyвЂ™s current portfolio in India.It competes with other sport bikes such as Mahindra Mojo, Honda CBR 250R and KTM Duke 390. Benelli TNT 25 has an overall length of 2080mm with 810mm width and overall height of 1125mm. The lightweight construction results in a net weight of 159kgs. It comes with a steel trellis frame which has a superb built quality. This motorbike has a ground clearance of 160mm and a fuel tank capacity of 17litres. It has design elements borrowed from Benelli TNT 300 model.It comes with multi-spoke alloy wheels, two-part spilt seat, side-slung exhaust and a well sculpted tank. This bike is available in two colours- Bianco (white) and Rosso (red). This bike represents a great amalgamation of style, fuel economy, swift performance and superb ride quality. Other features of this bike include multi-reflector headlamps, LED tail lamps, a self-start button, pass switch andpillion footrest. The instrumentation panel is a mix of analog and digital. The company is offering a wide range of accessories to personalise the Benelli TNT 25. The customers can choose from decals to tyres to add a touch of individuality to their bike.The company is also offering a warranty for 2 years or 24000kms, whichever is earlier.
Benelli TNT 25 Performance and Handling
For jerk absorption on irregular surfaces and a smooth riding experience, this bike comes with an efficient suspension system. The front suspension is inverted front telescopic forks and the rear is hydraulic monoshock absorber.The alloy wheels with high grip tyres provide impressive handling. Braking in Benelli TNT is effortless thanks to the 280mm petal disc with a 4 piston calliper in the front and a 240mm single disc with a double piston calliper in the rear.
Benelli TNT 25 Engine & Transmission
A single cylinder engine powers Benelli TNT 25. This engine comes with 4-stroke, 4-valves configuration and has a displacement capacity of 249cc. It is liquid cooled for a smoother performance. The maximum power output of this motorbike is 28.16bhp at the engine speed of 9800rpm whereas the maximum torque of 21.61Nm is generated at 8000rpm. The transmission in Benelli TNT 25 has 6-speed gear shifts along with multi-disc in oil bath clutch type. This transmission system throws power to the rear wheel.
