Benelli –the Italian motorbike manufacturing company has unveiled its latest new entry level adventure bike as Benelli TRK 251 at the EICMA 2017 in Milan, Italy. The bike by Benelli comes as the latest entrant by joining the bandwagon of adventure bike series which have been uncovered in Milan.The bike comes with highly aggressive stands and draws its inspiration from the predecessor model of Benelli TRK 252. In terms of the overall design, the Benelli TRK 251 features a sharpened beak-like mudguard on the front. At the same time, the headlamps of the bike appear to be highly crafted. The bike also comes with a long windshield which ensures ultimate comfort of the rider during a high-speed biking experience. The complete digital instrument of the bike enhances the overall look & high-tech features of the bike. The handlebar also offers great control to the rider.
Benelli TRK 251 Engine & Transmission
The TRK 251 by Benelli comes with a powerful 249cc four stroke, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine. The powerful engine of the bike is capable of generating a power of 25.8 HP (Horse Power) at 9,250 rpm along with a peak torque of 8000 rpm. The engine of the bike has been mated to a 6-speed transmission gearbox which ensures a smooth riding experience.
Benelli TRK 251 Braking & Safety
The braking responsibilities of the bike are controlled by a 280 mm single floating disc and a 4 piston caliper at the front end. Towards the rear end, the bike features a 240 mm disc along with a single piston caliper. There has been a rise on the global platform for dual-purpose motorcycles that come with adequate grunt for both on as well as off-road applications. As such, the TRK 251 by Benelli assures the drivers just that.
Benelli TRK 251 Competitors
Being in the similar range to that of the KTM 250 Duke, this is considered to be the strongest rival to the classic Benelli TRK 251. It also offers direct competition to the Royal Enfield’s 350cc motorbikes.
Benelli TRK 251 Mileage
The bike offers a mileage of 24.39 kmpl with the fuel tank capacity of around 17 Litres. The Benelli TRK 251 looks similar to the bigger variant the TRK 502. The bike flaunts a steel tube trellis frame. The large fuel tank capacity of the bike ensures that it can run for a long range without any refueling. The Benelli TRK 251 has been designed for delivering advanced riding experience to the riders who seek adventure riding. The bike is built around a steel tube testle chassis and thus, promises to be highly capable off the road and even in tougher riding conditions.
Benelli TRK 251 Performance and Handling
The new bike by Benelli receives upside down front forks of 41 mm to ensure safer, longer travelling. Similarly, at the rear end of the bike, there is a monoshock present that comes with hydraulic central damper adjustment. The latest adventure-based motorbike from Benelli receives as 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels which have been painted in matte black. The conventional steel tube trellis frame is aimed at offering greater stability and ease of riding to the adventure bikers.

Combining the features of both TRK 251 and TNT 25, the bike is expected to get a better placement in the sports bike segment.
