Benelli TRK 502 Overview
As a sports tourer, DSK BenelliвЂ™s TRK 502 is a head turner for sure, thanks to its extended front windshield, lower than usual split seat, stylish fairings, and 12 spoke black Aluminium alloy wheels. TRK 502 gathers power from a twin cylinder 499.6cc petrol powertrain and transfers torque to the rear wheels through a six speed manual gearbox system. The raised pillion seat is accompanied by a grab rail and a foot rest, providing adequate support. Also, above the fairings and around the engine bay, a pair of crash bars strengthens the safety aspect of the bike. Dimensionally speaking, TRK 502 features a length of 2380mm, a width of 912mm, a height of 1465mm, and a wheelbase of 1535mm. Added to this, a relatively high ground clearance of 230mm keeps the rider(s) off dirt and water splashes. Moreover, a beefy fuel tank of 20 litres can keep the bike running for long. TRK 502 gallops on 17 inches aluminium alloy wheels covered with 120/70 ZR17 front and 160/60 ZR17 rear tubeless tyres. The wheels on their part carry 320mm twin floating discs brakes with four piston callipers at the front and a 260mm single disc brake with two piston callipers at the rear. The braking system boasts of an ABS function to prevent skidding on wet roads. The suspension system jutting out from beneath the headlamp (front) or seat (rear) and reaching up to the wheels consists of upside down forks with 150mm of travel at the front and a central swingarm shock absorbers with 144mm of travel. The rider can comfortably manoeuvre the bike by using ergonomically placed handlebars and can view bike related parameters on the instrument cluster displaying speedometer, tachometer, tripmeter, odometer and fuel gauge. Benelli TRK 502 competes against players like Kawasaki Versys 650 and Suzuki V-Strom 650, and has been made available in White colour only.

TRK 502 specifications consist of a twin cylinder 499.6cc 4 stroke 16 valves inline liquid cooled DOHC based petrol powertrain that derives engine throttle from an electronic fuel injection mechanism. The engine garners maximum power and torque values of 47bhp at 8500rpm and 45Nm at 4500rpm, respectively. The rear wheels gather torque through a chain based six speed manual transmission gearbox, which is operable by a wet clutch. Furthermore, the exhaust system is attached to a catalytic converter and an oxygen sensor, thereby lowering the carbon footprint.
