    New Bikes in India

The number of Indian bikes sold in 2018 has skyrocketed to around 20 million units as compared to around 11 million units in 2007. This allows us to infer that Indians love their motorcycles. A big reason for this is the fact that bikes are rather inexpensive in terms of fuel efficiency, and are extremely easy to navigate through the chaotic traffic, which is encountered on the everyday commute.

Hero Motorcorp remains the topmost player and the best bike brand in the world’s fastest growing two-wheeler segment, and it offers robust and fuel-efficient motorcycles such as the classic Indian bike Hero Super Splendor with a high performance 125 cc ASFS engine and its latest iteration the new Super Splendor with yet another 125 cc engine, which promises a power of 11.3 bhp at 7,500 rpm.

    Hero MotoCorp Bikes

Hero was able to lure in customers who wanted the fuel efficiency of the Splendor and the looks of a semi-sports bike in the form of Hero Glamour, which is available in the market in the form of the basic Glamour and the Glamour Programmed FI, which claims to give you the ability to control the mileage of your vehicle by controlling the inflow of fuel into the cylinder, which is supported by an array of sensors.

To lure in sports bike enthusiasts, the leading bike manufacturer of India has introduced the all-new Xtreme200R as a contender for the title of the best bike in India. The boasts of an air-cooled, 2-valve single cylinder 200 cc engine, which is up for booking at the moment and will complement the pre-existing Karizma ZMR, which is still selling like hotcakes among the Indian youth.

The two-wheeler giant is also set to launch two new scooters - the 125 cc Hero duet and Hero maestro Edge in this month of October to compete against the likes of Honda Activa and the iconic Vespa.

    Honda Bikes

Following Hero is its partner-turned rival - Honda, which has managed to maintain its number two position in India for quite some time now. It boasts of an impressive line-up of some of the best bikes in India, namely the CBR 250, Unicorn, Shine, the fuel-efficient Yuga and CD 100 with multiple variants to suit the customer requirements. The latest ones to get the new iteration are the Honda CB Shine and Shine SP. The segment where it’s a force to reckon with remains the scooter market where it’s iconic Activa, Dio and Aviator have found huge acceptance. Honda has recently launched the Honda Activa 5G, which is making heads roll, thanks to its impressive looks and an equally-flattering performance.

    TVS Bikes

Closely following the two giants is the ever-reliable TVS with bikes starting at Rs. 32,909 for the cheapest bike XL 100 and then escalates up to Rs. 2.23 lakh for the top model TVS Apache RR 310. TVS Zest, Wego and Jupiter also compete against the likes of Activa, Dio and Duet.

As India continues to grow at a rapid pace, new bikes in India will, hopefully, keep coming, thus allowing the manufacturers to go on a selling spree. Owing to this fact, it is only obvious that the mobility of Indians will exponentially increase in the coming times!
