BMW G310R Overview
BMW Motorrad has finally unveiled the highly-awaited G 310 R series. The leading German motorbike manufacturing company had showcased both the G 310 R & G 310 GS bike series at the latest Auto Expo 2018. The all-new 300cc bike by BMW draws its lineage from the elder sibling –the BMW S1000R. The G 310 R bike series by BMW is the first sub-500cc bike launched by the leading bike manufacturing company. Though the BMW G 310 R had made its appearance in the Indian market earlier at Auto Expo 2016, the latest unveiling of the bike at Auto Expo 2018 was all about the launching of the India-debut GS.
BMW G310R Engine & Transmission
The all-new G 310 R by BMW makes use of the revolutionary 313cc backward-tilted, liquid cooled, fuel injected single cylinder engine motor. The engine of the bike is able to produce 34 PS of power at 9500 rpm. The engine also produces the peak torque value of 28 Nm. Power to the entire bike is transmitted to its rear wheel through the 6-speed transmission gearbox.
BMW G310R Braking & Safety
The suspension duties of the bike are handled by the 41 mm upside-down front forks along with the monoshock unit at the rear end. The bike receives the single 300mm disc brakes with 4-piston callipers towards the front along with the 240mm disc brakes towards the rear end that has been fixed to the single-piston calliper. In the revolutionary BMW G 310 R, ABS comes as standard.

After being launched, the G 310 R by BMW will be competing against the models like the Bajaj Dominar 400, KTM 390 Duke, the Benelli TNT 300, and the Mahindra Mojo XT300 bikes.

The all-new BMW G 310 R features an engine displacement of 313cc claiming the top speed of 143 kmph. In terms of the overall design, the bike takes cues from the predecessor model BMW S1000R series. The bike has been designed to unveil the sense of aggressiveness with the major concentration being given to the front end. At the same time, the stubby tail of the sports a sense of lightness. The well-sculpted tank of the bike along with the unique, angular tank shrouds indicate the design features of the bike model BMW S1000R. The BMW G 310 R features an all-digital instrument console known for reading the essentials including speedometer, odometer, tachometer, gear indicator, tripmeter, and so more.

The roadster G 310 R bike by BMW features the overall fuel tank capacity of 11 Litres. For enhanced performance, the bike sports a tubeless steel frame along with the bolted sub-frame as the core structure.
