BMW Rnine T Overview
BMW Rnine T celebrates the latest retro fashion and brings to you oodles of style with powerful functionality. It takes inspiration of all other BMW road and race bikes and looks stunning. But apart from its retro looks, the motorcycle also boasts of superb build quality. The company has paid immaculate attention to details in producing a world-class bike. Its modern chassis, braking components and suspension offer excellent handling and promise you a wonderful ride. The old-school air-cooled Boxer engine is a lovely twist that you find on this beast. The bike combines high performance with a modern chassis. This all new BMW bike is a roadster full of bravado and chutzpah. The bike is available in a single colour-Black and is priced at Rs. 23.5lakh in India. BMW Rnine T helps in continuing the knack of BMW for getting things right. This roadster does not follow any shortcuts and offers a powerful performance with that sweet Boxer Engine. It carries greater potential to bring young buyers into the BMW fold.
BMW Rnine T Engine & Transmission
The Indian version of BMW Rnine T is powered by an air-cooled flat twin 1170cc boxer engine that churns out a power of 110bhp at 7550rpm and produces a peak torque of 119Nm at 6000rpm. The power is delivered to the rear wheel with the 6-speed gearbox via a cardan shaft drive. This motorcycle has a top speed of 200km/hr and claims to offer a fuel economy of 22kmpl. The rumbling sound produced by this smart bike matches it looks. Its twin megaphone silencers help it burble through town and bang on the overrun.
BMW Rnine T Mileage
There are a number of customization options available on BMW Rnine T. A hump can replace the rear subframe of this bike. If one to experience solo driving, the rear frame can be easily removed. Other options of replacement include rear axle with three mounting points for license plate, alternative electrical components, upside-down telefork, optical akrapovic exhaust and the rear swing.
BMW Rnine T Performance and Handling
The bike runs amazingly quick in a straight line and offers good handling in sweeping corners too. It is extremely stable on the side though it is not the fastest steering bike in the world. The S1000RR forks that are non-adjustable and set-up friendly, offer a superb front-end feel. The bike offers good ground clearance too and it is unflappable in a straight line. The suspension is taut and it allows this bike to really hunker into corners smoothly. It has a beautifully balanced chassis that can go pound-for-pound with the engine. It has radial four-pistol monobloc calipers and braided brake lines that arrest it quite well. BMW offers anti-lock braking on this model as a safety feature like it does on all the other models. BMW Rnine T has a spectacular design that is in tune with years of heritage and tradition flaunted by BMW. From the riveted model plate on the steering head to the seat stitching and high quality wire wheels to the round headlamps and the billet bits, great attention has been paid to minute details
