Ducati Multistrada 1260 Overview
The Italian motorbike manufacturing company –the Ducati recently launched its all-new Ducati Multistrada 1260 in India. The company also went forward with introducing another variant of the bike known as the Ducati Multistrada 1260 S. The 1260 is the flagship model by the leading bike company as it turns out to be an attractive adventure-tourer bike. The bike also comes over with several modifications. Some of the major updates o the new-gen model includes additional power, new equipment, and a revised chassis. The new model of the Ducati Multistrada 1260 is increasingly capable in its newest avatar and offers the promises of advanced electronics.
Ducati Multistrada 1260 Engine & Transmission
Another significant update to the all-new Ducati Multistrada 1260 is with respect to its powertrain that replaces the older version of the 1198 cc engine. The bike receives the latest 1262 cc L-twin, liquid-cooled, Testastretta motor with the specialized DVT (Desmodromic Variable Timing) technology. The powerful engine of the bike is capable of producing 158 HP of power at 9500 rpm. The engine also produces a peak torque of 129.5 Nm delivered at 7500 rpm. The DVT technology of the engine makes the engine compliant to the Euro-IV emission norms.
Ducati Multistrada 1260 Braking & Safety
The Ducati Multistrada 1260 2018 receives the new semi-active suspension setup that improves the overall handling capabilities of the adventure tourer. The overall braking power for the next-gen bike comes from the 330 mm twin discs at the front and a 265 mm disc brake at the rear end. Both the braking units have been sourced from Brembo.

The Ducati Multistrada 1260 comes with an engine displacement of 1262 cc. In terms of the overall design, the Ducati Multistrada 1260 remains identical to its predecessor with several major updates. For instance, the windscreen of the all-new Ducati Multistrada 1260 is taller with wider fairing in comparison to the standard 1200 series. The new generation of the Ducati Multistrada 1260 also receives the all-LED headlights with specialized cornering function. The basic 1260 model will be made available in Ducati Red with black wheels and a grey frame.

The 1260 now is available with high-end performance features including the cornering ABS, automatic turn signal cancellation, backlit handlebar controls, and so more. The latest range of the Ducati bike also features four different riding modes including Enduro, Touring, Sport, and Urban. A major addition to the 1260 bike series by Ducati is the VHC (Vehicle Hold Control) – a standard feature that comes as a part of the new ABS unit.
