Ducati SuperSport Overview
Ducati India has launched a new series in its line-up –the Ducati SuperSport which comes in model variants –the standard version and the high-tech S version. Ducati India claims that Ducati SuperSport is a versatile bike and can be utilized for daily casual riding, weekend rides, & even for some adventurous strides. Therefore, the bike comes with some additionally improved ergonomics along with a highly comfortable and upright seating position. The Ducati SuperSport is currently available only in the red color shade which makes it look all the way more stylish. On the first look, the Ducati SuperSport might not appear highly different from the Panigale. When it comes to the overall style & design, the bike is impeccably designed with stunning external features.
Ducati SuperSport Engine & Transmission
The highly stylish Ducati SuperSport is powered by the strong 937 cc, L-Twin Testastretta engine. The two-cylinder, liquid cooled engine motor offers around 110 PS of power at 9500 rpm and around 93 Nm of peak torque at 6500 rpm. The powerful engine of the bike has been tuned to the 6-speed transmission gearbox. The bike features all the necessary electronic components that the riders would be expecting from a high-end Ducati version. Some of the advanced features of this bike include the high-tech ABS Setting and the multi-level traction control. The engine has been re-tuned for enabling a wider spreading of power throughout the bike and also for ensuring balanced torque for using the bike for casual rides.
Ducati SuperSport Mileage
The bike is highly efficient at a mileage of 20 kmpl with an excellent riding range of around 320 km. The Ducati SuperSport bike also comes with additional premium features like Ohlins monoshock, 48 mm Ohlins front forks, differently painted alloy wheels, and 320 mm dual discs with Brembo M4-32 calipers. The overall body is painted in a single red shade which offers the bike a completely unique look. Some of the strong Ducati SuperSport rivals include Honda CBR 1000RR, Yamaha YZF-R1, and Suzuki GSX -1000R.
Ducati SuperSport Performance and Handling
The SuperSport bike from Ducati comes with the high-tech Ohlins suspension which is capable of offering enhanced ride quality and performance handling. Going by the wide range of advanced electronics, the ride-through-wire system of the bike incorporates three individual riding modes –Touring, Urban, and Sport. All of these models come with different intrusion levels along with features like 3-step ABS, 8-level control of traction, and even high-end throttle response. At the kerb weight of 210 kg, the bike doesn’t feel much heavy while riding as the ABS system functions s a dream. Effective braking is achieved from the 4-piston Brembo Monobloc calipers which aim at gripping the twin 320 mm discs at its front along with a 245 mm rear disc at the back end. These features of braking are capable of shedding the speed with comfort and offer an excellent biking experience. The Ducati SuperSport definitely makes an appealing case for an easy-to-ride bike.
