Ducati Panigale V4 Overview
After Ducati stopping the production of its V-Twins, it is expected they’ll go for V-4 configured engines. Rumours of the MotoGP-derived V4 Ducati superbike have been around for years. The Ducati V4 Superbike is expected to be launched somewhere around 2018 end or the starting of 2019. Ducati wants the new V4 to be an evolution of their existing road bikes, instead of a clone of the MotoGP bikes.
Ducati Panigale V4 Engine & Transmission
It is expected that since the motorcycle will be a superbike, the engine should be a 1000 cc V4 engine, somewhat similar to the MotoGP bikes. Since the engine is not yet in production, the engine closest to the V4 that we expect is the V4 on the Aprilia RSV4, which produces 181 bhp and 117 Nm of torque, and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a multi-plate wet clutch slipper system.
Ducati Panigale V4 Mileage
We can expect the basic electronic rider’s aid systems, like multiple stages of traction control, wheelie control, launch control and ABS as standard.
Ducati Panigale V4 Performance and Handling
A tremendous acceleration and performance can be expected from V4 superbike considering its outgoing bikes and being a Ducati built. The performance is expected to have the signature Ducati style or may be better.
