Harley-Davidson Road King Overview
Harley Davidson is one of the oldest motorcycle brands of the world. The Road King is famous for being an outstanding tourer motorcycle from the legendary American motorcycle maker. Look at the big wind shield and nostalgic headlamp and you see a strong resemblance to the original King of the Highway. When launched, the bike was well praised for its big bold and chromatic looks. Additions like one-touch saddle bags, dual halogen headlamps and reflex linked brakes with ABS in lines with the traditional Harley-Davidson styling has made the bike a brilliant package to tour around on the highways. It is offered in more than six paint schemes to choose from. The bike also comes with tank-mounted electronic speedometer with ergonomic hand controls with intuitive design for improved tactile feel.
Harley-Davidson Road King Engine & Transmission
It propels an air-cooled High Output Twin Cam 103в„ў engine with Integrated Oil-Cooler. This engine is shared from other Harley Davidson motorcycles. It churns out 138 Nm of peak torque at 3,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The bike also features Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) technology for smoother fuelling.
Harley-Davidson Road King Mileage
According to the official claim, the Harley Davidson Road King delivers an admirable fuel economy of 17.8 kilo meters to a litre which means the bike will consume 5.6 litre of fuel when doing a 100 kilo meter ride. These figures are quite satisfying when its engine capacity and overall body weight is taken into consideration. It is equipped with 22.1 litre of fuel tank and when brimmed will take you to more than 330 kilo meters on the highway.
Harley-Davidson Road King Performance and Handling
The motorcycle weighs around 371 kgs and so it is extremely stable at the high speeds. Due to a long wheelbase of 1,625 mm, the bike takes quite some muscles to handle and manoeuvre. It is an extremely powerful motorcycle thanks to its High Output Twin Cam 103в„ў engine.
