Hero HF Deluxe i3s Overview
A new technology introduced by Hero not so recently is the i3s technology, which is the start-stop feature that switches off the engine when at idle and starts automatically with the pull of the clutch. Along with the Hero Passion Pro, this technology also comes in the Hero HF Deluxe, which we’ll be talking about. Although the design seems outdated now when compared to other bikes in the same league because of the technology, quality, and efficiency, this horse is still in the race.
Hero HF Deluxe i3s Engine & Transmission
The motorcycle is powered by a 97.2 cc, single-cylinder engine producing 8.2 bhp of power at 8000 rpm and 8.05 Nm of torque at 5000 rpm. It starts well below Rs. 40K budget and claims a top spec variant at Rs. 45,930, which comes around Rs. 50,000 on road (Delhi). This bike is a perfect commuter for the city with a decently-powered engine and lightweight frame for easy handling. Power is transferred through a 4-speed gear box with a multi-plate wet clutch.

Mileage is one key feature of the HF Deluxe or a unique selling point, to be more apt, with a 10.5 L fuel tank and a claimed mileage of 75 kmpl, which gives a total riding range of around 787 km. This figure can make customers more than happy. One of the biggest reasons for this mileage is the i3s technology, which helps in increasing the mileage. The seat offered is quite long, cushiony and comfortable so that long journeys can be completed without any hassles. The colours available are Candy Blazing Red, Boon Silver Metallic, Classic Maroon Metallic, Black with Red Stripes and Black with Purple Stripes.

After reading about this bike, one must have naturally figured that this is not a performance-based motorcycle but it still manages a top speed of 85-90 kmph and reaches 60 kmph from 0 kmph in 8 seconds, which is quite good for such a motorcycle. Braking duties are handles by a 130 mm drum at the front and a 110 mm drum at the rear.
